I am thinking to register for the civil PE test soon. I checked the state exam board website and found some name listed for evaluation service but not sure which one to choose. Most of these evaluation service agencies require transcript to me mailed directly from university which is not easily available from TU. Does anybody know the best agency name and easier way of evaluation?

NCEES is one of the well recognized organization for crediential evaluation. You can send a notorized copy of diploma from here but your transcript must be sent directly from the university you graduated. Since it is not easy to get another copy of transcript from TU, what I did is I scaned my transcript and sent it to my friend in Nepal. He prined it, got notorized from TU, sealed it in TU envelope and posted directly to the NCEES and that worked. Don't forget to send transcript request form (you will get it from NCEES once you pay the fee which is $400.0) and ask to enclose it in the mail. However, according to their evaluation I have 11 credits deficit on General Education category. Some states don't care about that if you have completed required hours in engineering courses but some do. You can find out your state's requirements. By the way, you must have gone through the same process for your EIT certification as well.
Here is the link for NCEES

Hi Verse..I have completed Bachelor in Engineering from TU. You say that there is 11 credit deficit in general education. This means I should complete these courses by joining some college or university in USA. During credential evaluation, does NCEES need complete syllabus of the subjects or just the transcript is ok? Some states do not require credential evaluation for FE/EIT. I think Michigan, Utah do not ask for ncees credential evaluation. Do you have idea about some other states which does not require evaluation. What about Texas?
