Few years ago, when we heard of killings, we used to be saddened,
worried and threatened. Now is the situation, when I hear of reporters
being killed, I feel a sense of joy. Am I becoming inhuman? No matter
how much I try to deny, I know I am becoming an inhuman creature.
After all, this is what I have experienced for past 10 years. Civil
war started when I was just 14, and today, I am 24. I have witnessed
mostly blood, corruption, killings and uncountable to name. I have
spend my youth age in this war.
I want to thank Maoists for
the first time, and probably will be the last time. These journalists
devastated Nepal; some worked for Maoists, some for Girija, some for
India, some for China, some for Christians, some for Muslims, to
devastate Nepal. With all these forces against "Nepal"--King Gyanendra
could not fight, after all he was an inexperienced King as well.
I
salute Gyanendra for what he did to save Nepal--his motherland, my
motherland. His defeat was our defeat, my defeat, our coming
generation's defeat. I have no answer for my future kids who will
question me--dad, what did you do to save "Nepal"? Unfortunately, I
will feel so disgusted that day, that I might try to hide myself away
from the world. If he does not, History will question me. With this
young blood, education, zeal, smartness, I was so busy for myself that
I could not secure my children's future, my Nepal's sovereignty. I
apologize in advance--future generation, please forgive me.

dont worry bro, your kid wont's ask you why didn't you do anything to save nepal. we will be known as india far before your kid is born to ask you that question.
your son might ask more like this question - dad why do americans make funny accent when i tell them i'm from india even though i do not sound anything like the funny accent they make LOL
nepal was meant and bound to be part of india...your king gyandendra did his part as well so did everyone else and you did too. it is nepal's fate to be part of india and thats why no one did anything to stop it nor will anyone do anything from making that happen soon. after all you cannot change fate...i repeat you CANNOT change nepal's fate of becoming part of india.
so babu, the sooner you accept the fact that you will be known as indian the easier it will be on your son coz or else you will have a hell of a time explaining while you hold indian passport and indian citizenship and tell your son that you are not indian.

Bihari Babu tried to be satirical at first but appreciating Gyanendra Shah makes him a piece of crap..
To be patriotic is..be authoritarian..no political freedom, army in control , anyone who speaks against is thrown to jail..visits around the country as the incarnation of Bishnu..These are patriotic too I guess : Kim Sung, Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro
Guys you need to see around the world and acknowledge that development requires freedom and that includes political, economic, social and every other kind. The maoist are very wrong in their attacks to Media but that doesn't mean that Gyanendra's governance was great. Thank god that you guys can still condemn Maoists for the attacks .What would be the case if Gyanendra had done it... anyone who condemned would be forced to shutup .

look at the plight of North Korea, Venezuela and Cuba my brother and look at the developed world.
political freedom, economic facilities, social opportunities, transparency are all interconnected and a mix of these leads to sustainable development. Freedom in all aspects allows people to learn what they want, to practice in business what they desire , to chase their dreams and inspirations and doing those things should be acceesssible, available to every Nepali. The system should be such that each individual is capable and probale to do something for his self-benefit . When masses do so the whole nation benefits in terms of economic, social and political development. A patriotic Gyanendra cannot solve all the problems that our country is facing even if we assume he was patriotic. Poverty, inequality, illiteracy and loads of other things that our country faces cannot be solved by a single patriotic leader, whoever u regard one.
Who did Gyanendra fear with..I don't get ur point..He was an absolute ruler brother he didn't answer to anyone nor was he responsible , compelled to do anything good..he wanted power and to be praised.
I don't support Maoist and condemn their activities but that doesn't mean that I can trust Gyanendra or any other absolute ruler. How can u guys be convinced that Gynaendra was right and will always be right ? How can we check him if he makes mistakes..kills people.Brother, we can do that now with Maoist whatever we can't with Gyanendra, we can impeach them from government, power.. everyone has been putting pressure on them to abandon YCL, to probe into the attacks and punish the guilty and that's the only way as of now and that's how the system works and should work

These are just a couple of things for North Korea that I cited from wiki. All of these are facts and have references in the wiki page.
I am sure you can find a lot of info about Cuba and other communist states regarding human rights, economic situation, religious and political freedom and others.
In the 1990s North Korea faced significant economic disruptions, including a series of natural disasters, economic mismanagement, serious fertilizer shortages The North Korean famine known as "Arduous March" resulted in the deaths of between 300,000 and 800,000 North Koreans per year during the three year famine, peaking in 1997, with 2.0 million total being "the highest possible estimate."[The deaths were most likely caused by famine-related illnesses such as pneumonia, tuberculosis, and diarrhea rather than starvation.
Free religious activities no longer exist in N Korea as the government sponsors religious groups only to create an illusion of religious freedom
North Koreans have been referred to as "some of the world's most brutalized people", due to the severe restrictions placed on their political and economic freedoms.[North Korean defectors have testified to the existence of prison and detention camps with an estimated 150,000 to 200,000 inmates (about 0.85% of the population), and have reported torture, starvation, rape, murder, medical experimentation, forced labour, and forced abortions.
Did u guys want Nepal to be turned into Cuba or North Korea or one of these because of Gyanendra ? I know Nepal is in a bad shape but it's not an absolute ruler like Gyanendra who can revive it. It's the people and the leaders elected by people who can do it. If the leaders you elected can't do that u got to elect new ones , better ones or make them follow the desire of Nepali citizens. It's not enough just to blame Girija, MK Nepal or Prachanda or other leaders. leaders aren't working good means that people haven't been putting on enough pressure on them. We must compel them to do what is good for the nation,

I am afraid my son would ask "dad, what did you do to save "EARTH"? rather than "dad, what did you do to save "Nepal"? .
Guys, lets be serious about global warming, and anti-nuclear proliferation. They are greater problem for our children than prachanda, gyaney and dixit.

IF I AM NOT MISTAKEN THIS DIXIT IS THE SAME GUY WHO WAS PRAISING MAOIST ALL THE TIME. THIS WAS THE SAME WHO WAS PRAISING AGAINT MONARCHY.
BUT ANYWAY JASKO TAKDIR MA JE LEKHEKO HUNCHA TEI PAUCHHA. HE WAS COMPLETELY AGAINST KING GYANENDRA AND NOW HE IS COMPARING THE REIGN OF GYANENDRA AND PRACHANDA... I THINK HE GOT HIS KIND OF REPUBLIC TREATMENT. STILL THERE IS NO WAY MAOIST CAN BE DEMOCRATIC AT ALL AND THEY WILL BE DOING SUCH ACT OF VIOLENCE ALL THE TIME. I HOPE ALL THE MAJOR PARTY WILL UNDERSTAND EARLY SO THERE CAN BE ANOTHER BOND INBETWEEN THE MONARCHIST PARTIES AND THE CITIZENS.
AND DBST, YOU ARE SLAVE FOR SURE BECOZ YOUR MIND IS MADE FOR MALIK NOT FOR US. WE NEVER FEEL KING IS MALIK WE FEEL KING AS GUARDIAN LIKE YOU AND YOUR GUARDIAN OF YOUR HOME. SO ITS YOUR MENTALITY THAT YOU ARE THINKING ALL THE TIME THE SAME LIKE SLAVE AND MALIK, MAJDOOR AND SAHU.. WE DON'T THINK THAT WAY..... MAKE YOUR MIND FREE FIRST.

Before May 2008, most people who were against King are now for King. I wish they could revert the system back to Panchayat--at least we will share the common umbrella of Nepal, not of Kirat, Tharu, Madhesh or any others.
For the ones who are in illusion:
It is not about being Mandale, it is the alternatives that we have. Unfortunately, Nepalese were afforded only with the choices of King, Prachanda, and Girija. You choose the best, and it is evident, King was the best.

fear of losing sth that u have, fear of losing sth that u've enjoying for long time and fear of losing what u love to do. if u r in that positiong, u would do the same thing. every single person can feel, king's motive was clear but he was surrounded by wrong people. and i don't understand one thing, people can forgive (or forget) the misdeed of girija, prachande; son of the b....h, then why shouldn't they think what they r doing? don't u think we r mising sth there. and brother its not king gyanendra, it was the a part of culture, lack of education of the people who praise him. i don't believe u'll praise him nor pranchande or girija, coz u know the differnce. but u just can't expect the same sort of reaction from the people from remote villages of our country.
and one more thing, look at this murderer prachande, who bark for people, people and people all the time, who now have to get the bed from china, and now have to use imported materials. that MF, who appears with the same dress with baburam bhattrai; an idiot DR. and we all now know that that was just for power.
and now, though king is not in power but this idiot PM is running after him. this so called leader doesn't have guts to change sth physically or mentally for the sake of the people of nepal therefore just woking to change the name of municipality and highway. there is no way we can expect sth positive from those who doesn't respect our culutre and appreicate the contribution of our great ancenstors.
