Dear sajha users,

One of my friends (foreigner) is going to stay in KTM for 2 nights 3 days. His estimated price is 200$/night in a hotel.
Now, I am supposed to recommend him about the hotel located in KTM. Which hotel would you prefer in KTM would be best to stay in 200$ per night?

Please help me out!! I need to answer him asap.

Recommend him Kathmandu Guest house. $ 200 is more than enough and is the heart of Thamel.

Someone willing to spend $200/night in Kathmandu can get a good hotel. I would recommend Hotel Yak & Yeti. Price ranges from $79 up to $150 for Deluxe or something like that.

If you insist on $200, then I would suggest Hotel Hyatt of Tara Gaun in Boudha.It starts I think around $120 and up. Another one to consider would be Hotel Radisson in Lazimpath.

I would recommend Yak and Yeti if the Guest has something to do in hub of town. Or if the Guest is looking for tranquility, he should stay in Hyatt Hotel in Bouddha, something peaceful....away from hustle and bustle of city.

                                KGH only costs 25-30 dollars a night. Read Karna Bahadur shakya's interview on Mysansar (a year ago's edition) and he explained why cheaper compare to other hotels although he has some expensive hotels like Hotel Ambasssdor or Marco polo business hotel as well......or ask Rajan shakya..he also able to explain to you like his dad does.....(like a true businessman)
