Just wanted to let you all know that my family is safe. In case you did not know, there was a shooting on VT campus and over 20 people are dead. My family is safe and I have been in touch with most of the Nepali students and they are fine.

I got calls from Nepal, India, and many other places. CNN effect is felt everywhere. Thanks to all of you who called to check on us.

We are stuck on lockdown in the library on campus right now and everyone just seems to be in shock. Cops are everywhere. We just heard that 17 people have been shot. It's been hard to determine what's true and what's just a rumour. We can only hope that the shooters are caught soon.

Can you please tell us how you know this?, do you mean either nepali or indian among the Asians? because it says Asin in the news, so you mean it is chinese/korean-looking-Indian or Nepali guy?
