"Just because one watches foreign movies does not imply he/she has an inherent support for those nations. it's about art my friend, good work is always praised-- globally." I agree with you Loote. ~ Naakpore~

yeah nothing is wrong with watching quality art from other countries. but wouldn't it help if we nepali did support nepal's own industries? Indian people always support their group, for example there are always so many people at every events formed by them, worthwhile or not they go and support. But in nepali functions, i hardly see anyone. just like bollywood movies, whether it bad or not people always go and see it. In the end they work hard to make it better, isn't it?

well, it's good to have supportive nature in a society. if nepali movie industry needs money, yes, i may as well go for some donation out of sheer sympathy ....but it's not the lack of adequate finance which is the only hindrance in making a quality movie. i am not gonna shed tears and lend support for an industry which has weak and negative approach towards film-making. as i said, nepali movie-makers do not have enough guts, mind-set let alone talent to create a quality work. as long as movie-makers target their work for a particular group or class in a society, nothing positive is gonna come out of it. art should not be created for a section of people in a society, that's a negative approach....one should focus on creating a 'quality' work. class or no class, hell, everyone will love to watch such work. people in nepali movie industry should understand this, first off! few handful of movies apart, i have not seen right approach in movie-making from nepali industry yet. LooTe

When it is available in Netflix I am going to watch this movie. I like big B no matter what, he is a good actor. Well, good things should be adopted from any culture, country or background. Ignore the bad stuffs .

We like Nepali songs because they are good and we do not watch nepali movies because they are not upto the standards. Just because it is a movie made in Nepal, you do not expect anyone to go watch the movie. Bollywood may not be an industry with QUALITY films but no doubt they make fun masala flicks that MOST NEPALESE enjoy watching. Americans purchasing US goods and CARS boosts its economy. with the same ideology that some here in sajha are speaking, Chinese goods and Japanese cars are polluting US so does that mean all Americans should buy FORDS and GM'S knowing very well that TOYOTA's and HONDA's would serve them better?... common guys it is everyone's own choice and we are always looking to get best out of our money

dear people, Let me tell you one thing, you find hindi cinema as quality work, their main target audience is rikshawaala and Thelawala finance by don. Without that kind of audience no movie can be sucessful. Look how box office are full becos those people watch 5 to 10 times again and again, they have nothing else to do except hardwork and entertainment .do you know all mr. Bachchan's movies in 80's and 90's, those idealistic dialouge representing poor people, angry man? that is why he was so succesful. So tell that quality work it's wrong. It's just you're used to it so that you can swallow it easily and slighlty better than nepali movies. First hollywood then copied by bollywood and copied by kaliwood, this type of hierarchy makes you think indian movies are better otherwise they are same and meaningless. If hollywood and copied by bollywood and kaliwood at same time, you will not find difference but it's not happening soon. Anyway it's a matter of preference and most nepali watch hindi movies nothing wrong with that.I think the only concern with some people is that they can see so much reference to hindi geet cinema in shajha and an indian might stop by thinking indian site. And discussion like this, they will never leave, mass of people will join and "badragol". I believe in it too becos I've seen in nepali news site, the whole data was filled with fight between pakistanis and indians few years back and nepalis were yelling them to getout..funny. Also another Madhuri would have to apologize not knowing nepal is not part of india. But i don't believe supporting nepali movies blindly, it's a market thing, they have to do better job but why expose ourself too much that we watch hindi movies and after wasting 3 hrs to analyze it? Movies are made for personel experience not for mass public discussion. But whom am i to critisize, you can go ahead, I was just telling my experience. Before leaving, let me finish 3 hrs. hindi movie in 3 sec. - the first half ,the hero follows heroin and second half the hero follows villian. The end.

This movie is influenced by 'Lolita'. One scene, where Zia was playing with Amitabh in a car, and the car almost got into collision was the carbon copy from the original movie 'Lolita'. This movie is boring and didn't do a good job in copying. The original movie 'Lolita' is much better. I just hope that nepali won't go on now copying this movie 'nishabd' without even caring to watch the original movie or reading a book. The Many scenes and the whole idea was stolen from a movie 'Lolita'. Oviously, they can't make it a carbon copy like they did it with another movie featuring Manisha Koirala as they wouldn't be able to go through censor board, and have to make it realistic with indian society.

The influence of the indian film industry in Nepal cannot be ignored, but solely cramming Nepal into the outskirts of Indian entertainment is false. We've had numerous movies, etc influenced from Indian movies but we cannot generalize as such...
