Neural, It seems that some IE related files are corrupted. Try removing IE and again reload it. Go to control panel > Add/remove program. Or you can use windows repair option. tks.

Do a system restore...Go to Start--> Help and Support---> Undo changes to the computer with System Restore. Choose a day before you made changes in your configuration. Follow the instruction... I will fix your problem for sure.

Isn't that the problem with spyware. :O hijackthis garum bro, before you do the system restore. eh!!! Check if you got something fishy runnin' in the background. - http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/ Scroll down, left ma cha hijackthis. Download garum... scan garum, check garum. Milcha bhane copy and paste the scan result. :D

.Thanks guys for your kind input. KK bro, after SPY WARE fixed the problems found, the desktop background changed to black color suddenly and urged me to click on the provided link. I dint dare to click it, so restarted, and the error began. Another problem is i can't open IE.... let me go on trying

EXPLORER.EXE is NOT INTERNET EXPLORER... WTF..??? explorer is the main window that runs your windows shit. like my documents and all. if it was internet explorer...it'd be iexplorer.exe install system files again!

This is permission issue. Do not trust all spy ware; they say one thing and do opposite. Ad-Aware by Lavasoft is the best one and most used. Below is the link to download free version. http://www.download.com/3405-8022-5153545.html?part=dl-ad-aware&subj=dl&tag=top5 After scanning your PC this will detect any unwanted stuff, delete them straight. If this does not fix your problem post again, I have few other options. Cheers
