After completing bachelor's i couldn't find job myself and took help of desi consultancy to find one. And then i got hired by one company and and moved to another state. But upon arriving to another state, the consultancy told that my reporting date has changed. And everyday they have telling me the same thing. It soon will be 1 month. And i haven't even started my job. My initial reporting date was somewhat 20 days ago. Now the consultancy people dont even respond to my call. Their workers receive my calls and give me some bullshit reason like the 2 or 3 days it wil happen..So i am frustrated and want to take actions. What can my actions be?what can i do now? Imreally worried.

get the f out of that consultancy. They have found some one to work for cheaper billing than you and he's already got his pay check for past one month.

Start looking for another job thru another company since they've apparently already fingered you.

Talk to others as well. Do not altogether base your decision at my opinion. I could suggest you the consultancies, but depends on where you are and what technology you are related with.

I know a consultancy that provides training in networking and also provides accommodation until you find a job. they give you money for grocery and a descent place to stay. if you are interested, give me your name and I can provide more detail abt it. btw the consultancy is in new jersey and i personally know lots of nepalese who got job through that consultancy.

I am in the same boat. Its been two weeks my work is supposed to start but hasn't yet. But i ve been directly reaching out to HR of the company and they 've been telling me that they are working on work order. Hopefully, everything works out.

Please let me know any good consultancies in ny or nj area. I found some from sulekha but they are asking $700 deposit for online training which is refundable with 1st pay check. But I do not know if I should trust them or not.

There are consultancy in edison nj which provide training and accomodn.

sometimes starting date actually changes from the client as well . And if the client finds someone smarter or cheaper , then your chance is gone. But in this case, its better to keep looking for other options like continue marketing( same consultancy or different, does not matter). Untill you actually start at client location, it is always wise to continue marketing. And my personal opinion, don't join anywhere who ask you for deposit .
