Hello all, I had filed I 485 on this august and today I Got a text notification from USCIS that my I 130 which I had filed on October 16 2012 has been approved. My I 485 and I 765 has been accepted by USCIS and I have the receipts for those two forms. Is this kind of a good news?Has anyone been through this?

i can definitely see that you are one happy soul right now. no more paying those school fees, eh? can you please confirm if the My Case Status page reflects the latest updates.

My case status says post decision activity, and says we mailed you a notice. But my i 485 is pending so you mean i no longer have to be in school? Man if thats right i will withdraw the classes right away, but i am still not sure. She some more light on this please. And thanks a lot for your response.

deported - it wouldn't be prudent for me to suggest that you quit school. but you are at a better position to decide if you really wish to withdraw and to weigh your options at this point. i think with F2A not retrogressing till Sep 30, I think you will at least want to wait till then to decide. you might just get your GC by then, who knows!

one other option is to call the USCIS. Sometimes you get to talk to an amazingly informative person at the other end.
