Is it wise to buy tickets for coming dashain on this ($999.00) deal? Kinda confused cuz its like 8-9 months away...are there any circumstances needed to consider buying tickets this early? I m going nepal in that time frame, thats for sure & thinking why not grab this deal...

I am planning to book round ticket from Kathmandu-Houston-Kathmandu in month of April. I tried most of the travel agents on sajha home page, however they all book ticket starting from US.

If I need to go home in next december, can I buy the ticket for august-sept for $1000 now and pay $250 in august to change the dates to dec-jan 2014? Still, I will just pay $1250 which will be pretty cheap for that period. This might be a dumb question but I was wondering if I can do that or not. THis is really a good price to let it go.

Busenitz, you might wanna check with the airlines first. Try to pretend like you're unsure if your vacation will be approved by your company for your scheduled departure in summer. Else, you might need to cough up another 6-7 hundred bucks as winter flights tend to be more expensive due to peak season.

I did some research on its website. It looks like 'we can change the travel dates before the departure dates with an expense of $250 but it also says "QA" reserves right to increase the fare on certain circumstances.' The sentence seems to be so equivocating.

@busenitz: The ticket prices vary significantly from a day to next. That's the fact, unfortunately. Therefore, if you move your departure from a cheap (sale) priced day to next, then there will be a sudden jump. So they will be charging that difference plus the fee.
I think these are the statistics they use before coming up with crazy sale prices.
Taking a chance....hoping I don't have to change anything.
