Hi guys!

This letter is not an attempt to praise or criticize any religion or culture and to create a big discussion here in sajha .
I got some interesting verses from holy hindu books which I would like to share with you guys.

HINDUISM TEACHES THAT WOMEN PRODUCE SEMEN

Hinduism claims that women are not only like whores by nature (ref. Manusmrti 9:14-18), but also amazingly produce semen according to the sacred dharmasastra:

"A male child is born when the semen of the man is greater (than that of the woman), and a female child when (the semen) of the woman is greater (than that of the man); if both are equal, a hermaphrodite is born, or a boy and a girl; and if (the semen) is weak or scanty, the opposite will occur." -- Manusmrti 3:49. ***

***The final instance would be a child with no sexual organs at all, or a miscarriage, or no conception at all.

Manu (Svayambhuva) was the first man in Hinduism, the progenitor of the human race. Manu hung-out with the gods, and his wisdom is regarded as inspired by God; hence, the holy Manusmrti, the timeless & sacred Hindu book of dharma. Manu was also the father of the first great sages according to Hinduism, and he is now considered as residing in heaven as a divine immortal.

HINDUISM SAYS WOMEN ARE LIKE WHORES BY NATURE

Hinduism's holy dharmasastra teaches that women are like whores and sluts by nature like the bimbo goddess Indrani (ref. RigVeda 10:86:6.):

"Good looks do not matter to them, nor do they care about youth; 'A man!' they say, and enjoy sex with him, whether he is good-looking or ugly. By running after men like whores, by their fickle minds, and by their naturallack of affection these women are unfaithful to their husbands even when they are zealously guarded here. Knowing that their very own nature is like this, as it was born at the creation by the Lord of Creatures (Prajapati), a man should make the utmost effort to guard them. The bed and the seat, jewellery, lust, anger, crookedness, a malicious nature, and bad conduct are what Manu assigned to women. There is no ritual with Vedic verses for women; this is a firmly established point of law. For women, who have no virile strength, and no Vedic verses, are falsehood; this is well established." -- Manusmrti 9:14-18.
***********************************************************************
HINDUISM'S AMAZING METHOD OF TURNING 'USED' WOMEN BACK INTO VIRGINS
A sexual ritual is prescribed to purify a woman who has committed sexual sins:

"A woman who has been unchaste should worship Siva in his calm aspect, Siva who is Kama. Then she should summon a Brahmin and give herself to him, thinking, 'This is Kama who has come for the sake of sexual pleasure.' Andwhatever the Brahmin wishes, the sensuous woman should do. For thirteen months she should honour in this way any Brahmin who comes to the house for the sake of sexual pleasures, and there is no immorality in this for noble ladies or prostitutes." -- Matsya Purana 70:40-60; cf. Mahabharata III:2:23.

HINDUISM SAYS WOMEN, ANIMALS, BARBARIANS, 'FALSEHOODS' ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY

"He (the king) should arise in the last watch of the night and, unpolluted and with a concentrated mind, offer an oblation into the fire; then he should honour the Brahmins and enter his fine court-room. He should stay there greeting all his subjects, and then dismiss them; and when he has dismissed all his subjects he should take counsel with his counsellors (advisory cabinet). He should take counsel unobserved, climbing to a private place on the back of a hill or a roof-terrace, or in a wilderness that has no vegetation. A king whose counsel is not known by the common people when they come together will enjoy the entire earth even if he has a poor treasury. At the time of taking counsel he should have removed idiots, the mute, blind, or deaf; animals and very old people; women, barbarians, and those who are ill or who lack a part of the body. For those who are despised
disclose counsel, and so do animals and, especially, women; therefore he should be cautious among them. At noon or midnight, when he has rested and overcome his weariness, he should think, either alone or with those(advisers), about religion, profit, and pleasure, and about attaining them when they are mutually opposed, about giving daughters in marriage and protecting his sons, about sending ambassadors and finishing what has to be done, about what is going on in the harem and the movements of his secret agents." -- Manusmrti 7:145-153. ****

SO BLOODY TRUE..hehe

heheh! confused..

praising women as a god... hahahaa.. hinduism praises everything as a god.. dog, cow, snake, boar, mouse, crow ... tree, stone, mud.... even gomutra and gobar as a form of god...
I don't think women are treated any different from these living and non living things.(in the context of god)..
so lets not consider that as a respect provided to women in hinduism....

Pulling out pros and cons of a religion is like playing with fire--Its deadly dangerous. No need to dip into the world of facts and pull out amazing stuffs. Remember religions originiated long time ago, long before this complex world survived. So, things have changed and some things that made sense ever 50 years(like gay rights) ago won't make sense now.

I am also a believer that bringing out differences of a religion, which is eventually converted to negative energy is nothing but waste of time. why waste time of some controversial thoughts? Anyway, religion is what you do everyday--The right way!!

It is probable that the originator of this thread might have taken the quote out of a larger context. Anyway, I do not believe in methodological aspects of Hindu religion or any religion for that matter. If Manu guy assigns anger, crookedness, and malicious nature to women he might have done it on the basis of his limited human experience or it might have been a reflection of his contemporary society. Anyway, I am a guy, I am Hindu, and I believe in god, but I do not believe that the practice of any religion will bring you closer to god. Humanity is what I believe will bring us closer to our creator not mythology.
Peace

Let explain the whole sitution. First, all the gods are aliens. After the bigbang......( first letter or word of universe Om) came up. These aliens who has been living in different galaxy has been observing us more than trillions of years. They observe the formation of life in planet and when it became suitable. They either hybrid by crossing between them or they planted some of the own kind here in earth having suitable enviroment.
Then they call themselves god coz they have more knowladge than us. They teach us how to do the things and gave us the language. There is so many things that was impossible so they name it sin and good doing. There came then women which was partner for mankind.
They proposed the theory of heaven which is there planet. They were able to preserve the energy which changes like when we die our form changes so that became soul ( atma). The whole way of defining things change the way of looking around.

At, the end when rigveda was composed there is no discrimination of women. The women were same as man that age. It is written in rig veda as translated. You can purchase that in internet. I bought that book in sajha pustak bhandhar long time back in nepal. If they call women a whore than it has been misintrepted. " whore" may be the word used for liking the sex. It is true as well that WOMEN ARE MORE FOND OF SEX THAN MAN AND THEY ENJOY MORE THAN US. IF U ANALYIS WOMEN IN BED AND WHEN THEY ARE BOILING DOWN ON KNEES, THEY ARE THE MOST UNTAMED TIGER IN EARTH ON BED. There is nothing to do with relegion. Hinduism is a relegion with science. We pray sun as god coz without sun there is no photosynthesis, no process then no plants, no plants no life.........thats why everything in hinduism is god. Hindu call all the benefical stuff to us as god...( alien taught us as hindu to love nature and things around us by saying god..so we dont mess around)..

i hope u got the point kiwi....

Kiwi, i would rather say, hinduism doesn't consider GOD to every things here and there, but for sure you can say we as hindu pay certain homage or gratitude to Nature and its creation. Why can't we have different perception than being so stereotypical pundit? Yes we worship Kukur not becoz kukur is God. Infact it is loyal to it master thruout its life, and we worship being so thankful to it. No need to bring issue about the fate of Kukur in nepal thruout the year except for kukur puja. Thats consequence out of mockery, nothing to do with Hindu religion ..

I have read some hindu mythology and have seen woman being so respected thruout. "MAATA" ; is what woman were in hindu religion. Which is right? Most of them are bizarrely twisted, had been derived by some autocratic cleric and pundits to rule over the ignorant people. Look at MM, he simply termed GOD as ALIEN. If his words are scripted now, 500 hudreds from now we will be worshiping Aliens, our MM will be as renoun as Vyas..

Religion, for me, is a philosophy, accepted as a devine form of a decree.

Muslim and Islamic religion have witnessed several small changes in religious philosophy since the Bible and Kuran have gone through so many translations. Imagine that for Hindu religion with so many Gods and so many Books, Vedas to teach us about our religion.

A collegue of mine had asked me which particular God do we consider the Top most? My answer was, it depends upon which book you are referencing your answer to. Some consider Maa as the supermost power, other consider Bramha as the creator of everything, other Vishnu (Bramha came from him), other Oum and so on.

My point is, it is hard to conceptualize the entire Hindu religion based on a single Grantha. Some would condemn 'Kama' where as there are plenty books praising the same. We can start a barrage of Sholkas reciting the greatness of Womanhood if you want (I am sure few of my Sajhaite friends would know them).

Having said that I have to commend you on doing a good research on Manusmrti, However:
Do not condemn Hinduism as a Male chauvinistic religion. Get a grasp on other Granthas and Vedas before jumping to conclusion.

SWARSWATI JAGAN MATA, BINA PUSTAK DHARANI, MURTAM HARME DEVI, VIDYAM DEHI NAMAS TU TE.

Kiwiland is a muslim scumbag attempting to undermine the great Hindu religion, using quotes from Manusmriti - which are cooked. In anycase, Manusmriti is not considered a sacred text. I have yet to met a Hindu who feel otherwise.

Manusmriti should be banned.

Neither am I a muslim scumbag nor I am trying to create what they call "danga fasad" in the name of religion here in sajha.... I am just pointing out some stupid and funny little beliefs of our "karadau saal" old hindu religion ...

Read this... this is ridiculous! hehehe

HINDUISM'S RITUALS, PREGNANCY & BIRTH CONTROL METHODS

"If one discharges semen, whether it is a little or a lot, in sleep or while awake, one should touch it and also address it with this formula: 'I retrieve this semen that fell on earth today; into water or plants though it may have seeped. May I regain my virility, my ardour, my passion; let the fire and the fire-mounds each return to its place.' As he recites this heshould take the semen with his thumb and ring finger and rub it between his breasts or brows. If, moreover, he sees his reflection in water, let him address it thus: 'May vigour, virility, fame, wealth, and merit remain in me!'

Surely a woman who has changed her clothes at the end of her menstrual period is the most auspicious of women. When she has changed her clothes at the end of her menstrual period, therefore, one should approach that splendid w man and invite her to have sex. Should she refuse to consent, he should bribe her. If she still refuses, he should beat her with a stick or with his fists and overpower her, saying: 'I take away the splendour from you with my virility and splendour.' And she is sure to become bereft ofsplendour. If, on the other hand, she accedes to his wish, he should say: 'I confer splendour on you with my virility and splendour.' And then they are both sure to become full of splendour. If he wants her to love him, he should slip his penis into her, press his mouth against hers, and stroke her vagina as he softly recites: 'From my body you spring -- from every inch! Born from my heart, you are my body's pith! Make her crazy about me, as if she's been hit with a dart carrying a poisoned tip.'

If he does not want her to become pregnant, he should slip his penis into her, press his mouth against hers, blow into her mouth and suck back the breath, as he says: 'I take back the semen from you with my virility and semen.' And she is sure to become bereft of semen. If, on the other hand, he wants her to become pregnant, he should slip his penis into her, press his mouth against hers, suck in the breath first, and then blow it back into her mouth, as he says:'I deposit the semen in you with my virility and semen.' And she is sure to become pregnant. In case someone's wife has a lover whom he hates, this is what he should do. He should place some fire in an unbaked pot, spread out a bed of reeds, arranging them in a way that is the reverse of the normal, apply ghee to the tips of those reeds, again in an order that is the reverse of the normal, and offer them in that fire, as he recites...." -- Brhadaranyaka Upanisad 6:4:4-12.

There is no evidence that the above method to avoid pregnancy works. So Hindus, do not try this at home thinking it is a good birth control method.

hi guys

This letter is not an attempt to praise or criticize any religion or culture and to create a big discussion here in sajha .
I got some interesting verses from holy hindu books which I would like to share with you guys.

To From Kiwiland
refering to ur first post I found it amazingly astonishing but as u mentioned it wasnt there to praise or criticize any religion I thought that u r exercising ur personal freedom over this virtual world, but ur translations frm the pragraphs of certain books that u r refering to r baised by critcism and they not only imply to me but to whole hindu race, personally if u think that u r here neither to praise nor to critcize any religion or culture, my sincere advise to u would be, comparision n indepth knowledge is more admirable than just believing in one side of the coin n thinking all the rest are bullshits.

further to prove ur biasness I would like to draw ur attention on the following line;

''There is no evidence that the above method to avoid pregnancy works. So Hindus, do not try this at home thinking it is a good birth control method.'''

kiwiland, in my opinion relegion is not fact based, divine script, its a philosophy created by men when they felt lonely, in need of guidance..so not every script in religious text has to be correct..i am not being judgemental but a Hindusim helps you to open ur mind, think out ur thoughts, rahter than giving you a straight dimensions..many sophisticated minds have praised abt Hindusim, BHagvad Geeta, and Vedas, Einstein, Theorou and Emerson are only few..dont you think these ppl knew what they were talking talking abt??

good comes with bad, and our duty is to promote good and eliminate bad..religion's has many false guidance, and states many wrong things, and for this we have PHILOSOPHY..for this we have ABILITY TO REASON..

and ofcourse i agree with DWI, Do some reasearch..

here is a little good from Hindusim:

Sri bhagavan uvaca
kamyanam karmanam nayasam
sannyasam kavayo viduh
sarva karma phala tyagam
prahus tyagam vicaksanah...

translation : the supreme personality of godhead siad: the giving up of activites that are based on material desire is what great learned men call the renounced order of life(sanyasa) .. and giving up the results of all activites is what the wise call renunciation ( tyaga)...

kiwiland, you've jumped into the fire- and trying to justify or blame religion is only jumping from fire into the fying pan...it is a sensitive issue. And as you can see, there are always the orthodox religious groups on one end and the liberals on the other, hence the varying degrees of agreements/disagreements. Why dont you write an article in the Writer's Guild? See, it has two advantages: 1) People will read and try to understand what you say. 2). They cannot disagree with you ;) I mean, debating on issues of religion, abortion, gay rights, marriage, cloning, is all about individual perspectives; how your perspectives have been shaped as you grow up- its not just an ideology, its personal bias. So I look forward to seeing your article? or do you want me to write one for you ? kidding!

U guys cudn't get the real sense of the postings...
I am not bias... nor i am going against my religion.. nor trying to create a dispute here...
Bhattu ..ur general knowledge is pretty general..( sorry about that)
And for dipika.. its not my creation.. i got it from the english translation of these books.. so no point in posting it in the guild.
Take it for fun.. isn't the things written in our holy books ridiculous...
And one more thing.. i am not jumping into any conclusion about my religion reading few irrational things reading in these books...
It was just meant to make people know that few things written in these holy books are so ironic.
Cheers!

What's written in the holy books and how ppl interpret it is two different things. I'm pretty sure it wasnt writte in the quaran that husbands have the full authority to beat the shit out of their wives and rape them and all that bs. Its how a person interprets them and if they are capable of using them in the proper context...i find what was written offensive, and i should know better than to comment on this..but o well..
