CONFUSED!!!!!!!!!
GUYS MAKE NO MISTAKE LIKE THIS..........COST A LOT (TOO MANY THINGS)
I came across the DUI in different State than my License State (TX). Lawyer hired, paid all the pentalties. License being revoked for one year, so i still have 6 more months to go to get the new one. i need to get SR-22 to get the new License.
But now i came back TX, and tried to get State ID. The clerk in the counter told me that i can get the Duplicate License instead of State ID after i told him all the incidents about DUI in different State. But he insisted me that i can get and system is not showing any records on me............Isn't this weird? Its been more than 3 months the case ended and charged me from the court.
Trying to reach my previous lawyer but not answering because he's already done with his job..i guess.
Do you guys have any idea about this kind?
Thanks a lot in advance

Badhai cha sathi..you must be the most responsible person i have known. it could very well be that the system was down at the time the clerk in TX state tried to pull your record. I have had similar issue when a state trooper in NE pulled me over and could not find my license ID which was from another state. i would double check on it. Or it could very well be that you got lucked out and your previous DUI convictions are lost and you have a clean slate. I would try going back to get the Texas ID and ask the clerk if he can see any records just to make sure. If it doesn't show up then hey just think that the gods are smiling down on you and never drink and drive again.

First of all I am not an expert on these matters.
But from what I recall, states need to have some kind of treaty/arrangement to transfer records from one state to another. There are some states which do not have this and others just delay this process. It is very much possible that your DUI record will never show up in Texas DMV, it is also possible it could show up later. Whatever the case is, enjoy the fact that you got lucky and get your license asap.

Thanks a lot for your inputs (Chaurey/Stiffler).
I agree with both of you guys that either record have not reflected yet because of some technical problem or the system was down that time. I did get the DL on the same day; waiting for the card to come, asked the clerk whether can drive with that, he said ok. But still is not that promising for me, You never know.
But I'm still concerned on this coz don't want to get ruined anymore. Research is still going on, did mailed to the lawyer but havenot heard back from him. I'll try to contact the DMV and ask them about it and last but not the least, will definitely go to check once again for the State ID. And if they find something then will returned DL same time telling them the whole process what happened the other day.
