Dear Friends,

I have a question. My friend was a student from Nepal and he overstayed his visa. Then he got DV lottery 2nd letter. So, he has now returned to Nepal with his wife and America born daughter, to get their new visas.

They also consultted with a local lawyer and she told that them overtaying their visa is that they are unlawful but not illegal and thus the 3-10 years bars does not apply.

Do yoy think this is true, or if you have any friends who have gone through this, please let me know. It would really help these great folks from Nepal.

Thank you and peace.
