Malai aeuta onlinenepal.net bhanne website ko women le call garera hairan gari bhanya.

She wants me to buy the calling cards from the website.

First time she called I said ok I'll check and just hung up. Next time she called, I told her I havent had a chance to purchase or visit the website yet and humblely said "why are you calling people like this but instead set up some survey or something because how are you gonna know if I bought it yet or not next time you call me".

She bursted up on me. Afno frustration nikalna thalira yaar. I was so shocked.

I dont understand where did she get my number from nor the fact what she/and the company is trying to accomplish by doing things like this.

Anyone here in a similar situation?

tyo kt ley malai pani call garera hairaan pareko thiyo..like couple of weeks before..like 3/4 times a day...finally she compelled me to get the card ..and guess what ...she bluffed me alot...5 dollar calling card gives 45/50 mins..i have to meet the target...blaah blaah....pls dai help me...5 dollar is nothing for u...here n there...i took the card ...n u know what ...that card sucks....20 mins for 5 dollar in landline in Nepal...even the connection is so bad...i called them back in their office in Nepal and told them abt that...anyway..the point is """ that card sucks""...........peace....

When you go out and pay $8 for heniken and put dollars on someone's leg..you don't feel bad..

but when you want to make some Nepalese business little better and wisely, you can spend money talking to your families back home..and it hurts and you started to know the value of your dollars...

we understand nepalese business.. we are here in US though.. we always look the quality now even though we are nepali.. and we are also not free all the time specially to talk with customer care of any type.. bout the heineken... to buy heineken we utilize our spare time when we get off from work and we buy it when we are free and for our own satisfaction .. i don't mind buying the phonecard from Nepali, Indian or Chinese.. i would rather get it from Nepalese but when i really want it and really have to call home.. and i dont call home every 2 days...  i don't have time to receive the phone, talk with girl/guy for the phonecard all the time every 2 days.. i know they have to sell phonecards..tara afno pani ta pida cha ni.. hoina ra???

These Nepali calling card businesses should not haress their countrymen in foreign countries into buying one of their calling cards. Just because I am Nepali you should not force me to buy your product. I guess it's ok to call and solicit but it's not ok to call again and again once turned down.

At that time I felt so embarrased to be a Nepali seriosly.

There was no reason for her to say things like that. Kasai lai harass garera business garne ho ra bhanya? After that I had no words and I just thanked her for calling me.

Everyone (including me) has so many things to worry about, she can keep her frustrations to herself. I dont know where they teach these things in Nepal. Besides maile ahile card leko chaina bhanda she kept on going.

Yesto garera friendly bhayera business garna khojya hola, tara they are totally wrong. I am not buying her card now when Vimsen ji also pointed out that the card stinks. Generally telemarketer ko phones haru I can turn it off, tara her phone Nepal bata ghar bata ako ho ki bhanera I am compelled to answer.

Anyhow, my sole purpose in starting this thread was to let everyone know about this situation and also to know if shes genuine and really works for the company or some women really just harrasing me. It sounded really weird that someone keeps calling u again and again for a $5 card. My purpose is not to see people argue here.

There is no doubt that we all (if not all, the majority) would prefer to get calling cards from a Nepali company/individual to help them increase their business, BUT the whole point is, it should be of a good quality standing side by side its competetion. Obviously, anyone would not want to waste money getting something thats of an inferior quality. I have tried those cards too after getting repetetive calls & pleas of the salesperson, & I am sorry but I had a vareity of probs with it. SO, if they improve their quality and add a bit PROFESSIONALISM to their service, most of us would love to be their regular customers!

Also - we dont like anyone dictating us what we should or should not do! We all are adults and are FREE to live our life the way we want as long as it does not violate any other's rights! Sexy-in-Sari's comment in this thread is really outrageous. If people go out & get Heinikeen for even $10, its their hard earned money that they are spending - shouldnt be of a concern to anyone. If they instead want to donate that to a charity thats also their choice. Same thing here: getting or not getting the phone card lacking superior quality & professional customer service is people's choices.

We also need to improve the professionalism of a business. Its nothing abt being in Nepal or living in a foreign land for years and years. Its only abt professionalism. If any business is professional to its commitment, it will get success - as simple as that! It might not be a complete fault of the girl/salesperson making the marketing calls - she might have been trained in that way by her unprofessional bosses, & I really feel sorry for her (All the best & success to her!) but it in no way implies that we need to get them.

If they want business, they need to provide quality produt/service.
