I am going for a date (may be not?) with an American girl who I am in contact with through a friend. I haven't seen her except that her pics. We are planning to meet at a Chinese restaurant.

So, I need tips as to what I should do or shouldn't do. How far I can go on the first day? Waht to expect and what to accept? Your taking time would really be appreciated.

she said she lovs Chinese food. So I proposed to go for Chinese food; she picked up the restaurant. I am assuming it to be a bit fancier than the China Buffet where I never been to.

it really depends on what you are trying to get out of this date. if you dont' know whehter you want to move forward in a relationship with this girl, then don't just try anything yet and definetly don't try hard to impress. go with the flow. two things to keep in mind: maintain ur distance in the first date at least and show your interests in HER. if you are only looking for a night-stand or so, ladainian21, he seems to be the expert.

I am certainly not nervous as such. It is always better to have friendly advice. Whether we like each other or not, we will have a dinner together for sure. I am seeing her for the first time, I may not like her or vice versa.

If I didn't like her, how would I respond to her other requests for after dinner activities such as movies, club, etc., after dinner? Who would take care of the dinner bill?

I haven't found any helpful suggestions as such.

Like any success of a date, the art of making her talk will get you everywhere. Notice small things that she's wearing or saying and make her expand on those. The more she talks the more your likely to have a good date. Of course you have to be good with the fillers as well so that there is not many aweward silences. Eat a lot so that she doesn't feel bad or shy about eating.

Carry a condom in your pocket.

When it's time to pay, empty everything from your pocket on the table like you're searching for some cash. Couple of hundred dollar bills would be pretty impressive. As well as the condom. When the condom comes out just act nonchalant as if it doesn't mean much for you. Act like it's a piece of chewinggum. Well it shows that you practice safe sex and that it would be safe to practice it with you. Plus your nonchalance shows that you're not a desperate sex maniac.

act normal.show interest in her conversation. u guys could perhaps go to a movie and then to the chinese restaurant.this way u could discuss about the movie if there ain't anything else to talk abt.
i don't think trying to be cool is good. girls willl like someone no matter how they are from the first date. also you'll know if she has interest in you or not after your date.for eg. she would call u and make plans for the second meeting.but if she doesn't call u or makes some excuses when it comes to meeting you then know that she's not interested .
