There is no pre clearance facility for US in Doha airport besides only ABU Dhabi has one. If you have only transit there then you do not have to go through Qatar immigration.

Then why you are trying to say Doha? Last year I traveled through Abu Dhabi with AP and it was pretty smooth. It took only 5 minutes to get cleared from the secondary check. Each case differs. I hope you got the answer.

Where is your POE then? Transit does not matter. Wherever the POE is located, it does not matter as officers have to comply with same immigration laws, whether it's in NYC or AUH.

This should not have happened. Not sure if there is a law that we should show our bank acc and provide open access to computer and phone. I think the best way to handle is be prepared with a qualifying and acceptable answer. On the other hand, you can submit your gadgets but not comply with open access to it. Law have right to check your gadgets for national security but they cannot have open access to it, because it violates individual rights and there is chance of chance of sensitive private information being leaked - say yours or your loved ones sensitive pictures, etc. etc. Be careful guys. Ani if it doesn't hurt by not going overseas don't go. This is not a lawyer's advice though but a personal thought.
