I am a F1 visa holder and I am thinking of starting a business in mall. I did some research and came to know that F1 visa holders can start a business but can not be self employed but get benifits from the business. Its still confusing though. If any of you guys have done the same thing or know anything about it pls post your thoughts. Laure_boi

Laure Boi, First of all my suggestion for you will be finish your study and start you own professional carrer. However, If you are alredy maked your mind to start a business then, you can invest in the bussiness like in a partnership. But, you cannot take the ownership. I mean that the business cannot be run under your name in any topics. other sharing the profits or stuff can be done by creating a mutual understanding between the partners.

Bimala Thank you so much for your suggestion. I am definately gonna finish my studies and start my professional career. At this point of time when we have to work for others to pay our bills and tutions why not work for your self when you have some good ideas. Just my point of view. Any one of you know more about the issue. Laure_boi
