Here's the copy from Times of India March 26th, 2008:
India silent as China deploys forces on Nepal soil 26 Mar 2008, 0030 hrs IST , Indrani Bagchi , TNN
NEW DELHI: Despite the huge diplomatic snub by China as it summoned India's ambassador at 2am on Saturday to protest against Tibetan activists breaking into the Chinese embassy in Delhi, the government here is silent on the reported deployment of Chinese troops in Nepal.
According to reports, China stationed forces on the Nepalese side of the border with Tibet last week, in order to keep tabs on protests by Tibetans in Nepal over the past few days.
The Chinese forces were in plainclothes, but armed with small weapons, sources said. This has rung alarm bells in India's security apparatus, but there's no official reaction.
The government maintained a grim silence on the major diplomatic snub inflicted by China when its foreign office summoned Indian ambassador to Beijing, Nirupama Rao, at 2am to give her a list of demonstrations that Tibetans planned to organize in India.
While this could just as well have been done during working hours, summoning the envoy in the middle of the night is seen here as nothing short of utter high-handedness by the Chinese.
Meanwhile, global strategic analyst Stratfor said Beijing was disturbed by the sight of foreign minister Pranab Mukherjee and US secretary of state Condoleezza Rice jointly addressing the Tibet issue in Washington.

There must have been Chinese pressure on Nepal Govt. to cover up the issue and our Govt. must have directed the media not to blow up looking at the sensitiveness of the issue.

The unwarranted and consistently brutal assaults by Nepali authorities on nuns, monks and other peaceful Tibetan demonstrators is second only to the barbarism of the Chinese. Aside from the Chinese invaders, no other country has been as brutal toward these peaceful demonstrators, seeking only to draw attention to the occupation and repression of Tibet, as Nepal has been.
Are Nepalis such shameless panderers for the handouts from China? Have Nepalis so soon and easily forgotten their own (ongoing) struggles for franchise?
Such eagerness not to offend the Chinese, to demonstrate Nepali subservience to the Chinese is ... PATHETIC
It's embarrasing even to the casual observer

I think Times of India just made its own story. These Indian Media can make any story like ISI in Nepal, or some plans by terrorist to attack India being made in Nepal etc etc. This Paper particularly is called TOI in short means, Toiletpaper Of India and has very childish approach to analyse news-like it writes everything good about Bhutan but puts Nepal always in negative side.

What do you expect? Nepal is a third world country; with GDP about US$ 8 Billion; never had a stable government; is sandwiched between two giants (economy, military, population, area,....) and is landlocked; don't have manufacturing, mining or any other significant resource; we have always depended on foreign aids and loans; food/water/fuel shortage; and on and on and on.
Going back to the Tibetan issue. Nepali govt has always been subserviant to the british, to the ranas, to the shahs, india, china, now the barrel of the gun.
See gyane had the golden opportunity to be a national hero had he taken a more liberal approach but no he thought nepali people were still in his father mahendra's era.
If you are expecting nepal to take a stand on tibetan issue it will be a pro chinese one. forget about Tibetans Nepal govt couldn't even resolve the Bhutanese-nepali refugee crisis.

N I do not think there is any need to Change One China policy now. Even Independent (as compared to Nepal) India's Defence Minister Pranab Mukharjee in Indian Parliament recently said that India's Policy towards China is unchanged since 1950 and this is Tibet is integral part of China.

There is no proof that he is caring an arm..So wat if he came into Nepal. Anyone is allowed if they are legal and have done some procedures through immigration. Does these reporters have proof that he entered Nepal illegally?? Nope I don't think so. He doesn;t have weapon nor he is not in chinese police clothes, so it doesn;t matter. Even the US uses FBI's and police personals around the world to work with local government. Is that illegal ??? Think about other matters before posting stuffs like these idots.

You're not even going to medal in the Shillathon. Think about training for other events before spewing your pathetically transparent Chicom propaganda.
