General Satchit Shumshere was a great soldier. He displayed unmatched bravery and courage during the Mustang Operation fighting against Tibetean militias back in the '70's. . He was a pioneer in establishing Birendra Sainik Boarding High School, which was established during his tenure as the Army Chief. He was also the first Nepalese Army Officer to lead Nepalese Troops under the United Nations Mission in Lebanon (UNIFIL-Lebanon). Whatever he did recently may not be right but he has served his motherland. His fearless and fierce fighting in the Mustang Operation is still revered. Salute to him and May He Rest In Peace.
