It is easier to adjust the veil with that kind of hairstyle. But BC it is not necessary to have that hairdo all the time. But sth like that will definitely make the things easier for the bride and for different rituals like covering the part of the head when the groom puts the vermillion on that part (dunno the name in English ) of her head. Check this out. The very infamous bride of Nepal....

Oh so its a matter of convinience rather than a religious purpose then !! Hmmm... Thank you folks. B-) Who is that bride ? Can't seem to recognise her.

If you never get your hair done at least do it for your wedding, don't forget the nail done too becasue everyone is going to see your hands and for hindu wedding I know that mom and aunts wash the feet of the bride so pedicure is good thing to do. that extra round thing in the back of the head called a bun ( Juro), I think it is formal and it makes bride face clear to see. Just imagine lots of hair falling all over her face ?? Wel, do not know much though.

Ratabhaley - Yeah, that's Devyani. Careful now ... before BC goes "nycomphoo..." or something like that :P (never could figure out what that word meant but it sounded like a good thing to use when angry) All in jest, folks. :)

. A little drift ! Do u guys ever wonder , that we have to sit on the "jagya" for so long when we are getting married ? I mean , once in a lifetime , YES! BUT , ask them ..both... who are getting married, and i feel : they are NOT liking it! : ) or, are they ? :P The thing is , its their day and they are busy idling on their rituals whereas the people who come to support them, enjoy the HELL ! :P No offense to our rituals , and no offense to marriage in general , BUT , can anyone "married" , for that matter , put forward their experience of how long they had to wait before they actually enjoyed the day! :) If you're not convinced , better get confused cos i am not arguing! :P
