Its really sad to see the State of Nepal. There's no water, no electricity, no gas, no kerosene, no petrol and on top of that crazy people protesting every damn thing - plus the garbage hasn't been picked up for weeks. I just came back from Nepal and it is not the same place that I remember when I am here. The nepal I remember is the Nepal of my childhood- a beautiful, peaceful fantastic place. Its no longer the same.

it is sad..but .looks like people really want Ganatrantra in the leadership of Maoist. The one who stopped all the development projects in Nepal. I really pity poor nepalese, those who are capable are running away.Soon, USA will close its embassay and Aid.India will have economic sanaction if maoist comes to power as they are linked with indian terrorist groups. Nepal will be ruled by another dictator.Nepal will be New Nepal under Maoist One party democracy.A new nepal where there is no roads, no electricity, garbage everywhere, no gas.But hey , it will be peaceful though as no one can speak against them .They will cut the throats of Nagrik Samaj People if they speak, then they will realize ,What is Democracy!!!!!!!

I DON'T KNOW AFTER HOW MAY YEARS YOU ARE RETURNING BACK TO NEPAL. I WENT TO NEPAL AFTER 3.5 YEARS AND IT DIDN'T LOOK THE SAME TO ME. IT COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. I AM LUCKY THAT I DIDN'T HAVE ANY TO EXPERICENCE ANY OF THIS MADHEIS MOVEMENT AND THUS EXPERIENCE ONLY 2 DAYS NEPAL BHANDH BY YATAT. ISN'T IT AMAZING 2 DAYS NEPAL BANDHA THAT COULD HAVE MEAN A LOT OF DITURBANCE TO OTHER PEOPLE BUT FOR US NEPALESE ITS LIKE JUST 2 DAYS. WELL I DIDN'T SEE ANY DEVELOPEMENT EXCEPT FOR THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE ON THE ROAD AND THE NUMBER OF TRAFFICS. AFTER REACHING KATHMANDU, I ASKED MYSELF, IS THIS THE PLACE THAT I HAD LONGING TO GO BACK FOR THREE AND HALF YEARS. I REALLY WISH NEPAL CAN CRAWL INTO THE PATH OF DEVELOPMENT ASAP.

I agree. I am planning to go back to Ktm for a few weeks in summer. Just the thought of all the chaos going on makes me not want to go... although i really want to go. I am pretty sure, of the 4 weeks i will spend in Nepal, 5 days will be Nepal bandha, 2 days will be chakkam jam, 10 days of julus (so no going out), 5 days of hadtal.. and besides that everyday of load shedding, no water, no freah air (due to burning tyres on the street), and noise pollution (due to all the shouting by the julus walas).......... haree ram.

lau.ta, I understand the sentiment of yours. The reality is that none of current political leaders have the vision for economic development of the nation. So no matter who comes to power, we will have the same problems of load shedding, no drinking water, traffic chaos, and other problems. But these leaders are talking as if every problem will disappear after CA election or when they come to power, which is not true. We don't have natural resources. All we had was water, most of which have already been sold to India. We don't have timber or any other resources. We've to import most of the thing from other countries, so the trade deficit is very high, and the cost of living is increasing every day without any increase in people's income. The situation looks scary. At least there is some reduction of budget for security and royal purposes. But I'm afraid that the current government is not being wise enough for saving; the budget has been increased for maoists management, donations to leaders in the name of health check-ups, etc.
