Bornfree, Q. Were you aware of achieving this feat before you started? Shah: I can’t say now. On November 29, 1998 I set out on an 11-year-long journey to capture my dream, the dream of riding 3,90,000 kilometres on my bicycle to spread the message of peace and hope for my country and for the world. Do the math

So basically sajha discussions chased Pushkar Shah out of USA ? It could be valid reason.

In a way, I found this Pushkar Shah more like a LUCHCHA, after reading all the discussion postings.

Kali Kali, Curse the nepali corrupted politicians who have literally killed poor Nepali people and who have bank balance in America not a nepali chhora Puskhar Shah. Not to be personal here, but if you are not one of the luccha neta's daughter, you have to work here in the US when one is in the US. I work here so that I can go to school. Now what you tell me? Are you going to tell me I am a luchha, too? Or you are going to tell me I am robbing America? Pukhar is from a poor family. He is not luchha neta's son to have millions of dollars in the bank that is enough to bike the world. Yes, there are people who are not luchha and give help him in anyway they can...money or otherwise (even the good words! Most Nepali are not luchha for good words)..Despite that, he sometimes has to eat SUNATALA KO BOKRA to survive; and he is a Nepali, a real Nepali who is content with all that! And who dares to paddle 100 miles a day! Do you feel very tired when you DRIVE for 100 miles and crave for a cold soda?

I am not saying that Pushkar is Luchcha Neta's son.. I am saying he himself is a LUCHCHA.

Luchha was used as a metaphor. Read this again: "Pukhar is from a poor family. He is not luchha or any luchha neta's son to have millions of dollars in the bank that is enough to bike the world."

kali kali, i think you really came up with correct word "luchcha" for Pushkar. I am impressed with whoever that person is, who kept all data in the spreadsheet from 1998 to 2004. I wonder what happened after that...?

It looks like the people are making the subject of pride just to emphasize on where they stand about Puskhar Shah. I wouldn't believe it should be a matter of pride to present raw datas. I wouldn't worry even the data has some thousands + or - . The importance here is how someone can sacrifice 11 years just for cycling. It is certainly not a joke. Yes, name and fame comes to that person who has courage and determination. A good thing for Nepal. Personification of "Gurkha" is Puskhar Shah. Even if you have millions of dollars, you can't easily set a journey (of uncertainity) like that. Even if you love cycling, you can't bike 5-15 hours literally everyday for 11 hours. You need determination and real courage, and of course a Nepali maan. And, really, it needs a chokho Nepali maan to appreciate to someone, too! Or we would be a luchha bandar who can't see other's good doing!
