HA deserve the opportunity to join MBBS - it used to be a good system to allow them and many countries envied Nepal's system then.

I think HAs should be allowed to continue their study to MBBS. But, not in separate quota for HAs, there should be a common entrance exam.

Some where I read the most successful doctor of today in both technical and management point view "Dr Bhagwan Koirala " has HA background. In fact. HA might be are more usefull, knowledgeable in the context of Nepal than those MBBS who paid donation for becoming MBBS from Russia and China( sorry no offence please). This is pure elite education politics. If HA come from open competion, they should be allowed to join for MBBS or some kind of bridge course should make them to pursue their higher education. Specially the Poor and backward country like Nepal and Nepali who can not afford the high cost of education for long term like MBBS( 2+5 yrs, ISc+MBBS), would benefit immidiately. That was the initially stretegy for HA. Hope they would be able to continue their dream of higher education. NO COMPROMISE IN QUALITY Just my quarter cent. Thanks

Yeah, why not??? Why only HAs, everybody should get to study MBBS. Well If HA is considered as equivalent to an intermediate level, then why not? and what about other health related intermediate degrees like Intermediate in Nursing etc. They also have a claim to MBBS seat. I never understood , what is there in ISC which makes them better doctors? Nepals ISC has not a single chapter related to human( anatomy, physiology, pathology etc) where as HAs are supposed to have a solid background on the basics of these subjects. And finally on lighter note: Even healthminister and healthminister wannabes should have a compulsory MBBS entry.
