I have few facebook friends that are seriously getting on my nerves. Their constant self praises and self promotion has reached unchartered heights but noone can make any comments because we are all nice people. Nice people feel bad about things sometimes and I guess that's when sajha anonimity comes in handy. 

I hate being dragged into some groups where people are promoting themselves several times a day. For me facebook was something that used to keep me upto date on what my friends were doing but now it's being flooded with self promotions that makes me wanna puke. Some people have the nerve and lack of courtesy to add you to events that are happening across the seven seas and you have to read the crap that everyone writes. You dont' want to be rude by leaving the group which is shown to everyone so you have no option but silently watch the drama that you didn't ask for. Then there are some philosophers who think they have the world and life figured out and they want to give their daily sermons. At this point I have to google some ways to completely block someone's status updates without having to unfriend them. Just wanted to vent here.

Rules of being friends is having  common interests , if you do not have common interest  any more then disassociate.

If you want to block someone's status update without having to unfriend them, just unsubscribe from them.  On their status or post on your home feed, on the top right hand side corner, their is an down arrow, click on it and unsubscribe from them, they won't know. I have done it to so many "annoying facebook friends"

The idea of having to post picture to show people what you're upto (mostly, that you are partying) sounded too juvenile to me. Hence I didn't join FB. It's like a little kid flaunting hey this is what I do on weekends, howz your life?

Dude, take it in positive ways. The world is full of colors and those friends are one of those colors. Please do not hate them because they are what they are.
As other friend says if you don't want to see their status or any activity, just unsubscribe them. That is what i do. Make friend to everyone no matter how irritating they are. You never know when they might be helpful at some point of your life.

अब  facebook चलेकै  status updates र photos ले  हो . Else it will be like hotmail. 

Most of the time I see peoples update with life saving quotes inside pictures. hahahaha. This is a trend going on in facebook nowadays. 


 

The one thing  I dislike about facebook is people posting their babies pic everyday. I like babies but I dont wanna see whats your babies doing everyday. One day its like " my cutie pie is having dinner", next would be ' My baby is pooping/peeing".  Do you really think that we are interested in your babies day to day activites? Some asshole simply post vague status update expecting bunch of comments. Bloody attention seekers.

You should deactivate it, just like I've done. 

^Agree. Facebook is not like a phone call that disturbs you in the middle of something important. It is a wall and people throw stuffs in there to stick. If you don't like it you don't have to do anything but move your eyes an inch below or up. That's it. I don't understand what the complaint. Either don't have it, like I haven't, or stop complaining. Nobody forced you to look at their pictures and comment.

Now a days what bothers me is wedding pics of my FB friends posted almost everyday!

If no status updates, no comments and no photos what is the use of facebook?
Go and watch some news website and comment below the news.

 Yep...Deactivate that sucker! I opened it back in 2006/2007 when it first came...and now it actually annoys me...so these days no more facebook...peace of mind!

You find the solution to get rid of facebook yourself. Nobody will help you. or you want Zuckerberg to help you huh? hahahaha

Take it easy guys I like keeping up with updates from my friends. What was a little bothersome was how some people that I barely know too well keep on promoting their events 5-6 times a day by tagging me without consent. 

I generally used to read sporadic updates from friends only so I didn't look into settings too much. Now I have learnt to just block the feeds from people who are only making friends to promote their own thing.

I wonder how people can gather few 1000 friends. They must be so much popular huh.
