KATHMANDU: Around 1,350 trained service providers have been enlisted in Department of Family Health, Ministry of Health and Population until now to provide safe abortion service.

According to the Ministry, the service providers enlisted in the Ministry have been providing safe abortion services. Around 470,000 women have already enjoyed the services ever since the abortion service was legalised in Chaitra 2060 BS, claimed the Department.

The abortion service is provided to a person when she desires to abort the fetus of until 12 months and for the cases exceeding this period service can be rendered with consent from her guardian and doctors.

The Ministry has started the service with a view to ensuring the women's rights for reproductive health and rights freedom.

A woman should pay Rs 1,000 if she wants to abort with machine and Rs 500 if she wants abortion through taking medicine. The service has been extended in all 75 districts by today.

I support the  abortion.

They aren't kids first off. Very misleading title. If the mother's cannot support the child they should have the right to choose.

It says abortion service is providedt to a person when she desires to abort the fetus of until 12 months. I think they mean to say 12 weeks otherwise it would be a real killing of children.

I'm on anti-abortion bandwagon. Better be safe than be sorry. Use protection. Creator has given you the ability to give birth to a life, that itself is so beautiful. Don't kill what's in you. I would urge and wish they use some sort of preventive options. In very rare cases,where there are birth difficulties and mother's life is at stake, doctors have used the abortion as an option. But open-heartedly going for abortion is a murder.

It is very unfortunate when someone has to think abortion as an option. But when choice is made, it is better done in hospital than without any health supervision. Hope no mother has to come to such crossroads.

Just seeing the image and saying  it is bad may be littel odd. But you have to think what will be the bad effect in the family and the mother if she not chose to abort.

 Abortion service is extended in all the 75 district in Nepal....It is legal in all the states here in US....they made it legal coz it might have made some sense....now stfu and stop conspirancing in everything.....

 Your simple google search is very misleading again. The Fetuses are not pulled by hand or scissors, they dont even resemble lihe humans with hands legs and eyes. Some of the abortions might have to be done in late term pregnancies. But most often Abortion isnt performed once the fetus has developed past certain time.
