“Leaders of the world: You will be judged by what you build, not what you destroy!” – Barack Obama

This very much applies to Nepali politicians, doesn't it? Let’s hope our country heads towards a positive direction and our leaders bring about the necessary change that we so desperately need.

Nepal spent 8 Arab Rupees fighting with Maoist.  If that money was spent in something productive like electricity people would not have to face so much load shedding.

Well, the objective of this thread was not to rip on a particular political party but to relate and have an "aha" moment after reading the quote.

In fact, most of us Nepalese have the tendency to find faults in everything and everyone. Instead, we should focus on the betterment of Nepal and show appreciation for people who have contributed significantly in making Nepal better, however small their efforts may be. We should also support innovative thinkers and people who are committed to improving present-day conditions in Nepal.

I  fully support the point of view expressed on this thread (http://www.sajha.com/sajha/html/OpenThread.cfm?forum=2&ThreadID=67868) and urge all to have more productive discussions.

Let us for once focus on what we can do instead of dwelling on what we’ve done wrong!

The biggest problem that I see with Nepalese politician, in accordance with this thread, is that they are so short-sighted. Politicians all over the world, even in India, think about making a history in whatever way they could. Nepalese politicians worry about next 2-3 yrs while they are in power. Do you see the difference?

I feel this is a great statement. I remember few of sajha friends justifying killing by maoist that caused 15000 Nepalese to die and  several infrastructure to be destroyed. I have always believed in the fact that killings are never justified. You can obtain anything by peace that you can gain by killing. Killing breeds killers. If you kill one person you will give rise to two others.

I think it is a bold statement, that also means that US will soon be taking out its military operations from Iraq and Afghanistan.
