below 2... does he have books to study? or he is not studying... I dont think there is any university, he might have to start fresh again without a transfer...
Tell him to get matured and study now or regret later.

How did he managed to get below 2 dude? In my believe, getting 4 and getting below 2 is really hard in US. You need to work really hard to get any of them.

Sorry, seeing the score I forgot to answer your question. The best thing will be to apply school fresh showing Nepal's certificate and do not try to transfer any credits (even if you have better grades in few subject.

Try -
EastWest University, Chicago, IL
St. Augustine College, Chicago, IL
The University of Findlay, Findlay, OH
Dillard University, New Orleans, LA
Wayne County Comm. College, Taylor, MI
And also try some colleges that are exclusively for african-americans.
G'luck! And tell your brother to study, not party or whatever the heck he is doing, because he doesn't seem to be a multi-tasking guy ;)

yo i'll let you know lil trick, since i worked in admissions office, well first thing your brother needs to do is lot of kiss ass to professors and to the dean of the school. Because if professors write the dean a letter saying that he is a hard working and smart student but he seems distracted the dean will definitely give him another chance. and Dean is the only one who can over turn everything. So basically come up with some BS to your professors saying how you owe money to people back home and you need to work in minimum wage for lot of hours and don't have no time to study and shit, and you do not want to get deported, hopefully seeing that your professors will write a letter to the dean and he gives him a second chance, meaning they'll give you another semester in the school, where your progress will determine your stay. And when he gets the second chance please tell your brother to bust his ass, or he is going to be looking like a dumb ass, if i have job where i work 40 hours in a desk and still can maintain 3.0 gpa i don't see why he shouldn't. Alright good luck

GPA less than 2. For this, did he come to US? Does your bro has good foundation? knows language sufficiently to be able to read books in ENGLISH? Anyway, nothing is impossible. Tell him to start again and hope for the best.

I helped a bhai with his statements, etc on his application as he too had a similar prob 2-3 years ago...He got into Metropolitan College in Manhattan (or was it Mercy...still curious). They put him in probation and if he got less than a 2.0 the first semester, then he would've been sent packing. The good thing is that your credits above C are transferred and your GPA starts afresh. However, I don't think public universities would be able to help in your brother. Try the small private colleges in your vicinity and talk to the peeps at their Intl Students office. All the best and make sure your bro gets his head into grinding the midnight oil instead of the chicks at the club!

Yeah...do what NepaliFlorida says and stay in the same community college for it is going to very difficult for your brother to transfer anywhere else carrying a sub 2.0 GPA. Repeat classes that he failed or got C's and D's in so that they can replaced by higher grades to raise the GPA.
