According to Transparency International, Corruption on rise in Nepal. God knows for how long we have to face this chronic problem!

Kathmandu,September26

Corruption in Nepal has grown in the last three years, according to the Corruption Perception Index (CPI) 2007 of the Transparency International. Nepal is 131st least corrupt nation among the 180 countries, obtaining a score of 2.5 on the 0-10 scale. In 2004, Nepal had a CPI of 2.8. Some South Asian Countries--Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan -- stand as more corrupt countries than Nepal as they obtained 2.2, 2.0 and 1.8 scores respectively.Bhutan obtained 5.0 as the least corrupt country in this region, but its score decreased than in the previous year's index at 6.0.
