Not that it had happened for the first time. Not that I hadn’t done it before. BUT Yes, writing about it for the first time. YESTERDAY NIGHT- A gentle breeze kisses my forehead and wakes me up. As I lie awake staring at the moon, I hear the clock strike 2 (a.m.) . I get up to go to the washroom. I walk along the corridor. And as I open the door of the washroom, Oh No ! not again ! I see a cockroach lying down on the floor. I bend down to take a closer look. I look at the cockroach and the cockroach looks at me, then we fall in love, shit ! not the time for joke. The cockroach is lying at it’s back and on top of it are numerous ants. The cockroach moves its legs in pain and points its antennae at me, as though asking for help. I splash some water on him and see the ants clearing off. I keep the cockroach in a safe place where no more ants would trouble him and letting him peacefully wait for his death, I leave the room.- I knew I couldn’t save him from dying but seeing him suffer, I couldn’t even restrain myself from helping him. I know none of the people whom I know, my family, me friends, noone would even have cared to look at that poor creature . But y did I? How did I become this sensitive? How come the suffering of the creepiest creature makes me suffer too? I myself don’t have the answers to these questions. But wat would u do if u were in my shoe yesterday night? would u help ? or would u ignore the pleading call of that creature?

Interesting Story Aviator: Ironically, I had a similar incident few years back. You have to take good with the bad, or vise versa. Since roaches are more trouble than they are of any help, I would let it die....Say it was a termite...then what would you do? Remember, termites can bring your entire house down.....

knight crawler, i didn't take that roach to the hospital. Even i let it die but only wat i did is i relieved it's pain (to some extent). I am not against killing insects, i don't even say that i haven't killed any, but yes, very less compared to others & howmuchever i've , i've tried to kill them with the least pain possible. (dunno how far i succeeded)

Aviator, I'm glad about what u did. I'm always amazed to see the reactions of some nepalese in sajhaland. I've done that few times not with ants, but they seem not to be able to stand themselves when they lie on their back. There's also one insect (I know it from a name 'Fever insect' since I was told that I'll get fever if bitten by it), which preys on cockroach, and i've made few attempts saving cockroach from dying. I also regret to say that I've killed few ants while I was young. But unlike other kids, I never ever get entertained by killing any beings. silly lily, ask that question to the people suffering from disease without any cure, and u'll get the answer. Finally, my request to all: Let's be more sensitive to other creatures, and please remember what u give, will come back, no matter whether u'll be able to see the links of it or not.

Aviator, a bit of inside scoop to spice up : Did you knwo that cockroaches can survive without its head for seven days. And even then the only reason it'd die would be due to starvation. so you know, honestly speaking, if i were in your shoes, i wouldn't bother. If you use that logic, you're probably deriving those ants who probably worked half their lives to get that food somewhere. After all, they too have millions of mouth to feed. Don't you feel bad about it? or ants just too small for your HUMANE THOUGHTS? In a nutshell, let nature takes its course. It is the most sustainable thing. If you don't believe me..you've got to getyourself one of those DVD"s of planet earth and see how rainforest regulates itself.

i finally found some1 who can relate to my sentiments. Thank u so much gahugoro. Keep Loving , Keep Caring. Snurp, i care about ants too. I've saved many a ant from dying but also have killed few but only in an attempt of saving some creature from it's fang. YES i understand that they have millions of mouth to feed. But how do i let them sting some1 alive?.... i can't . I know it's nature, i even know that i can't change this rule of nature but it's the same nature that created them and it's the same nature that created me and as much as i can't change their nature i can't even change mine. If its a sin then without caring of the consequence i'll readily commit this sin everytime i'll come across such situation, AMEN.

aviator if i was in ur shoe(hope ur shoe doesnt smell!!cant say the same for mine tho :oS hehe ok enuf of being lame) most prob i would have tried to find my chappal or anything at hand that could be used to squash the cockroach.. if i had noticed the ants..i just might have slightly moved the cockroach to make sure the ants start moving off it and once i see its clear(or if i lose my patience whichever comes 1st ;oP..esp if the cockroach was now back on its sixes and ready to escape) i would have then used watever i was holdin to squash and give it a quick death :oD...hmm if i had a baygon most prob i would have killed the ants too along with the cockroach.. well lots more scenario and most prob i aint sensitive..but thats me(have some kinda not too good relationship with cockroaches i guess :oS )..one thing i realised about myself which i hope aint a delusion ;oP(u realise how much more we seem to delude ourself when its about ourself?;oP hehe) is that im human..and can i expect much from these creatures that is called humans who in nature just seems to not really follow the way of the 'nature'?;oP hehe...it takes more than it shud need..it wants more than it needs and does things that 'hurts' other living things just cos it feels like it and wat not?;oP hehe... anyways if u care about just one cockroach guess thats a good thing/sign..i mean wat this world lacks is care?doesnt matter wat kinda living thing we care for as long as we care?hehe..so pls do keep it up!:oD good day! (ps let me confess the killin of all those snails on top of the garden fences that we used as target practice..cant believe i was in so much glee when my throw hit the snails that i had been aimin for ..urghh the innocence of childhood tainted in blood :oS hehe...ok i feel much for relieved!!now to confess my other millions of childhood killings!adulthood ko ta khoiley suru garney?:o| hehe)
