I have been using dial-up for a while, and this has been keeping my phone line extremly busy. Is there a software or something I can install on my computer so that when someone calls, they will be able to leave a message without getting busy tone? Or something even better would be great. Thanks in advance.

You might want to contact your ISP. I've heard that AOL and some other ISPs have such provisions for their dail up subscribers.

Hurray, You have many options to choose from to avoid missing calls while you're surfing the net. 1. Contact your telephone company and ask them if you can have call forwarding function added to your phone line. I have Verizon for phoneline and they have provide that function for minimal charge of around $4/per month. I would suggest you to get the variable call fwd that will let you forward your calls to another phone ( preferably your cell phone) when you are online. You can use this feature when you're not home and expecting an important call that you don't want to miss. 2. Get callwave. Go to www.callwave.com. You will have to install a software on your computer and run it while you are online. Basically, it's the same thing as call forwarding but instead of forwarding your calls to your cell phone, they will be forwarded to callwave message center and callwave will send you a pop-up message on your screen when you get a call. 3. Get a seperate dedicated line for internet use. In conclusion, Call fwd: $4.00 Callwave: $6.00 ( $2.00 for callwave.com and $4.00 for phoneline) Dedicated Phoneline for internet use: $25.00 Not missing your calls (specially telemarkeing calls) while you are online: Priceless.
