This past winter~
I met someone who was a complete stranger to me, but we had a friendly 3 minute conversation about investing (So smartý I KNOW). She was in NY for vacation and leaving in two days~ we had arranged to meet in time square the day before she left~ this is completely out of my character and I would never meet someone who I donýt know well alone, but this person felt different~ we ýclickedý within the 3 minute interval over venture capital and investing~
The day of the meeting~ we met in time square at 3 p.m. and started walking over to Rockefeller Center to check out the Christmas tree. As we were walking, we talked about the differences between CA and NY. Arriving at the Tree, we took some pictures and decided to walk across Rockefeller Center to SAKS to view the Christmas windows and walk down 5th ave. Throughout the whole time as we were walking, we talked about anything and everything~
Finally, I realized that we had walked downtown and was passing Grayýs Papaya, of course she couldnýt pass Grayýs without trying their ýrecession specialý.. hahaha.. we shared a hot dog and a papaya juice and then continued to walk more into Soho and back up towards the East Village~
After having dinner at the Republic in Union Square, we decided to walk down to 2nd ave? and take the bus down to the ferry~ why we did this Iým not sure, but it was definitely memorable~ we were able to see the view of the city on the ferry on our way to Staten Island~ of course.. as soon as we arrived~ we got off the ferry only to get back on towards the city~
Arriving back in the city~ we decided to head back towards Time Square to see all the billboards, signs, lights, etc. at night~ It was already 2 a.m. and her flight would be leaving in 4 hours~ so we walked back to my car and said ýgood byeý~
The whole day felt like 20 minutes~ I canýt remember what we talked about, but I remember thinking ýwow~ that was so easyý
It didnýt really matter where we were walking towards or that NYC looked absolutely gorgeous on this day because of the slight snow flurries coming down~ those things were secondary to our hours of BS~ing, debating, and conversing~~~
