There is free street parking on Saturday and Sunday. You will find 2-3 hrs free street parking during week days as well. If you could not find those, download parkwhiz on your phone and look for the paid parking near by.

What time are you arriving ng in DC on Tuesday? If after 6:30 you can find free parking in residential zone. If you plan to arrve around 4-6:30, it's better to park on a public parking. DC is notorious for ticketing and towing the car in rush hour, which is 4-6:30 in the evening. After 6:30, you can pay for the street parking. The best option is to park somewhere on 15-16th street and walk to White House and the memorial. I lived in DC for 7 years and delivered pizza. So, I may be the best person to suggest you on your DC trip..
