Thesedays there are many cases of divorce among Nepalis living in the US. It must be more challanging in the US to sustain a marriage than in Nepal.

 The whole story is biased, since it is written by a woman. It encourages women to divorce even more.

This is quite fascinating from the legal as well as socio-economic point of view.  Gives us an intimate knowledge of marriage in today's Nepal, hoina ra?

Now Now, I would not be so quick to make judgements. While the story does show the wife in some kind of bad light, the intentions behind her actions are not well-explained (which is why I am dying to read more). I wonder if they will actually do it though, because to me, it looks like they are still in love. On one hand, the guy is running away from himself (and consequently from his wife), but on the other hand, he is constantly driven towards her because of her forgiving nature. Great piece, overall!

divorce bhaneko sakesamma nagareko jaati tara kehi seep lagena bhane ke garne tyehi ho. Ani keta le divorce garna napaune niyem ta katai suneko chaina.

Not sure if one is required to file marriage legally in Nepal. Legally file gareko chaina bhane kaanun le kai garna ta mildaina hola chodepani.
