Dear Friends,

As you have heard earlier, we engineers in USA would like to initiate a non-profit, non-political and pure technical professional organization, we are watiting patiently for your responses. Please give us some portion of your valuable time to suggest us about the upcoming organization. Its obvious that we are bound with so many personal burdens due to tough life, however, its the time to gather our strengths, get united and do something for the land we were born. Furthermore, its the time for us to be updated with the recent changes in the engineering field.

So, please do not hesitate to put forward your ideas, views and suggestions. Your advice will play a vital role in determining the goals and objectives of the organization.

nepalese engineers.. let me cut and paste your line here...

"He/She has ASCE membership. (Under Discussion) " "He/She shall hold associate degree in engineering AND has 8 years of professional experience in engineering. "

ASCE only?? is my question .If you can include ASME,SWE,IEEE or other umbrella organisations as well...

Any specific reason for the work experience threshold to be 8 years for people having associate degree??
Rai dilip I liked your last question.."Will it help in development of nepal"

Pacifier,

Thank you for responding our discussion.

You are absolutely correct. If ASCE is considered than other equivalent measures will also be included. Thats why why are saying -under discussion. We will decide through the meetings.

In our opinion, if a person having Associate degree in engineering and has worked in the same field for 8 years, he is equivalent to EIT in USA. So, we are thinking it as criteria but not yet decided.

Thank you again

Its a kind of good idea. It is not easy as an emotion to unite in this foreign land and give a breakthrough result. But a pot is made from mud. So if there is a good motivation, even a vaguge idea can deliver a solid result. I wish you all the best. Being an engineer, obviously I will give some input too instead of building a doubt against you.

very nice idea...i am all for it!!!
and I get sick of those people who keep on asking...does that benefit nepal...does it benefit nepali....wat the crap man!!!
Why do we all have gatherings at our houses(now don't reply...i don't have gatherings at my house), why do we go to parties...why do we go to watch cinemas...why do we go to restaurants with friends....will it "benefit" anyone...if you or your friends go to watch a movie?? will it "benefit" anyone if you and your friends devour two plates of "sekuwa"...certainly not....but we do them regardless...cause that promotes brotherhood...and at least bring you together....
If somebody has a nice idea...and wants other people to support him...why the heck do you guys keep on pulling someone's f$$king leg.

I however like the name "Association of Nepalese Engineers in America (ANEA)" proposed by camoflaged. And again...supporting my argument...if you guys are a member of IEEE...it doesn't do much of a "benefit" to american people either...except for bringing all the engineers together....and publishing some research paper.....but it still is one of the biggest associations..........

Dear Himayantiger,

Thank you very much for your support and raising practical issues regarding benefit.

We are not member of IEEE. But, we feel that first job for us is to unite the Engineers (brain drained from Nepal). Then to seek possible ways to support Nepal and its people.

It might look like that we can do very little to our motherland. However, we are heart touched with the systems and technogies used in Nepal. So, we are moving with clear motivations. We will try our best and lets see what happens.

Thank you
