There is this thing in American culture.Every time an underdog is supported. Americans supported Rocky when he fought against Apollo Creed in that movie Rocky.Spiderman another underdog became a mass hysteria when people found out that he was bullied in the school.Americans always always go for the underdogs..they create the underdog and they destroy that underdog....It is like a norm or taboo for  American culture..
We have this underdog here.Mr Barrack Obama.A charismatic leader ,an hypnotizing orator.First African American presidential candidate.He has American public behind him...He used the word "change" , and that word acted like a vaccination to American Public.People have this hope ,that this war and current recession and mortgage crisis would end if Obama goes to Washington as The Commander in cheif
the world is watching ..The world is waiting for the change..
But i believe that he is one Socialist person. He is trying to introduce communism in this capitalist country.
What does Obama stands for? a stronger central government like the Kremlin in Muscow..To force the rich people to pay more taxes so that the gap of rich and poor diminishes.If this idea is not derived from the Karl Marx's book "Das Capital"..then what is this? This is one form of communism.
America is one capitalist country.This is country is what it is today because of the capitalism.And capitalism is the "coolest" thing in the world.The consumer satisfaction runs the market today.And Mr.Obama tries to come to the White house and turn the farms in rural area into "Sovkhoz" and "Kohlkoz"..
If the word democracy has to survive in the world,then Obama has to lose the election.I am not saying that Mccain is better candidate,but he is not a person who talks like V.I lenin..
If Obama wins the election then this is the beginning of the END...

Adhored, The same model of communism can not be practised everywhere IMO. Most of the former socialistic countries failed due to trying to imitate the communist model of previous era. I believe in 'progressism' rather than absolute 'communism' and I saw that on Obama. And the 'Change' thing is arised from that philosophy. Although I have very few knowledge about the differences between capitalism and communism in terms of capital theory but my option will go for 'less' differences between upper class and lower class.

And about the freedom for speech and humanrights, I opt for basic needs(food, cloth and shelter) before going for further fancy life. That's why the model of socialism is different depending on many parameters of a country. And the 'communism' only does nothing unless the 'communists' follow and rule correctly.

Anyway it is nice to read your thread.

Ukranians refused to produce food for the USSR.Stalin took away all the resources from Ukraine and blocked their supplies...around 30 million Ukranians died..This incident was not well known till 1991..

First, what about the sanction imposed by India against Nepal during 2045/46 bS. Forget about the ruler that time. Where is the basic human rights of people to live? It doesn't mean I am supporting the incident you have mentioned.

Second, Nepal has also practised democracy now. Is Nepal a fully capitalist country? I say, no. Many enterprises are state owned and private investment is not fully deregulated.

So, is India a capitalist country? Partially but not fully. Many of the enterprises are state owned like energy, railways, airways, etc. It has adopted some principles of capitalism and some socialism.

Its my belief; you are free to diagree. Keep rolling.

Name one capitalist country that is not a democracy..that was my question...u answered it other way around.

I am not to give your answer, Abhored. But if I am not misteken your question should be covered there. My statement is that democratic system can adopt some aspects of socialism and/or capitalism, but one is not synonimous to others. I mean countries you believe practicing democracy are not fully capitalist, but socialists as well.

u were talking about India.It is not privatized at all..But it is also called one developing economy.It is a democracy and it is slowly embracing capitalism. and i believe that within 30 years everything will be privatized in India.If a democracy has to survive it has to embrace capitalism...thats my belief..

You are predicting as if you know what is happening 30 years down the road. Do you think people, 30 years before, would have thought the present situation of the world. The rampant capitalism is the end of society. There would be no society and/or community at all, but only the individuals. Can you imagine of that kind of system? So I am reiterating, capitalism is not synonymous to democracy. Thats it.

Capitalism existed in Rome before despotic Julius Ceaser took over..Capitalism existed in Greek and Macedonea..Capitalism existed During the Egyptian civilization.Infact if u have come accross the old testament (Hebrew Bible)and if u try to think more deeply about the character "Moses"..u will find him preaching capitalism..!!

i don,t have health ensurance, so i think Omama should win this election.

now we just have two choices Obama and Mccain. and maccain doesn,t have any plan of health insurance. Any way Obama is not comunist.
