I was in Nepal that time and thus can give a first hand information on this. This Sherpa guy is not innocent as news like kantipur potrayed but it was a planned accident to Mr. Singh's car. They knew the British council programme. It was wrong on the part of Bharat Keshar and his sons to behave so aggressively and to be so easily provoked.

Helen Shah received $57,735 more in aid

KATHMANDU, July 26 - It has come to light that King Gyanendra's aunt, Helen Shah, had received US dollars 225,894 (about Rs 1,70,52,738) from the national coffers, which is USD 57,735 more than what was disclosed by media earlier.

The media then had information about only one installment of the payment which was made on 30 September 2004 and amounted to USD 168,159. Shah, a billionaire, had taken the money for her medical treatment in Thailand.

This was divulged by Acting Chief Secretary Mukunda Sharma Poudel Tuesday while testifying to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) regarding the distribution of state funds since July 2002 under the rubric of financial assistance for "needy" people. Poudel said that the then Sher Bahadur Deuba government had released the money under palace directives.

Likewise, royal finance minister Madhukar Sumsher Rana and recently scrapped Raj Parishad Standing Committee member Yuvaraj Shumsher Rana had received Rs 500,000 each from the royal government. Another royal minister, Binod Kumar Shah, received Rs 576,000.

Have you accounted , how much development and how many childeren we could have fed with billions dollars that was spent a defense if maoist hadn't waged war?????

there are so many loop holes in nepal's systems that everyone has manipulated that in certain extent.
No one is morally greater than the other.

These suckers should be put behind the bars and the money should be nationalized! After all they didn't earn the money!

"If maoist hadn't waged war...if somebody had not done this,...if the other person did not commit this..." These are all in past...we cannot do anything in past...but we can surely move forward...we can stop blodshed in future if we try honestly...

I am not defending any royals out here.i am just pointing out there are others who did the same.And we need to make each and everybody accountable.Didn't you see the list of people who were helped by govt..the list includes UML,NC,RPP everybody.
Again i said she is too rich herself and her family is too rich she could have afforded the treatment herself!!!

here people are just digging grave ,so why not dig everyones.My pointing about maoist war was haven't we wasted lot of money there too.It could have gone to worthwhile purposes.Destoying bridges,airports etc ..did they help nepal ?just like 50k we invested in some shah..we have invested lot of money on lot of corrupt people.

Now coming back to forgetting everything and starting new.My point is :If we do not want revenge politics ,then everyone should unite and develop the country.Else ,each and everybody should held accountable..Lets not spare any..don't just make royal punch bag.hang corrupts(royal,spa,maoist)..else stop playing blame game!!!!

That is what they are doing ImI...SPA and maoists are uniting now for one goal...the constituent assembly and peace..they have different ideologies but they are uniting for one common goal which every body wants...for which janaaandolanII was done and will continue if not fulfilled...Now if you want Royals also to get united, it is their resonsibility...if they tell that what they did was wrong, they are sorry for all those things, who can stop them from uniting...go to the door of common people...when people are ready to forgive maoists for their deeds and move forward...they surely will forgive royals...but they surely will not forgive the hukumi sasan...the head of royal has to be a common person...he cannot be king...we people don't want king...Why don't u understand ? It is a war between common people and the hukumi saasan...we want the head of Nepal to be elected in a democratic way...we really don't want the head of nepal to be chosen by birth...it is not about royal or spa or maoists...it is about people...what people want ?

What i see now is SPA is defaming king as they are in power.Releasing their own corrupts ministers and removing the charges.What am i suppose to think about this?

In ImI, language....if the royas had spent money for nepal's develpment, if they hadn't spent so much money(earned by hardworking nepali men and women) outside the country for their lavish, the maoists wouldn't have risen. The reason why royals are the punch bags is because they suckup money without working...very simple. And again, if they had done something for the country, my mouth would have been sealed.
