In this playoff Kobe can't make different. He just scored 22 points 7-21 shooting on first game. This week's headline: Tim Thomas whacks Kobe in big Game 1 Lakers could be eliminated on 4 game. As we expected LeBron James showed how good he can be. Triple double. San antonio is still good but they might have tough time to beat Dallas on second round. Shaq still the beast in the east. Good Luck!

KC, Sorry man! i couldn't even resist for a moment after seeing what phurba posted in this thread. so, i thought better clear off the things that mr/mrs?? phurba was not aware of. yeah, yesterday night, spurs were a bit lucky. anyways, kings played with their hearts, esp. bonzi wells, k martin and sharif. to bounce back from 40 point loss is a good thing to see. this is what we expect in playoffs. tonight, kobe and the lakers are playing against suns. i am sure this time their game plan is different. it's simple, kobe will take the charge. will shoot more than 21 shots, for sure and will have better stats than game 1. go lakers, go kobe!!

Delicate Bro/Sis(?): I heard Steve Nash will be announced the MVP once again.....Man, I thought Kobe deserved more than anyone else.....oh well... Tonite, I think Kobe will probably take 25-30 shots...Even the other day, he had few open looks, but didn't go in..Lakers had a huge chance to win that game...Cook missed 3 3-pointers in a row...and that did it....Go Lakers ! Go KOBE !! - http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2422255

KC said "I heard Steve Nash will be announced the MVP once again.....Man, I thought Kobe deserved more than anyone else.....oh well..." >>> KC bro, I felt the same way 2 years ago... if they didn't handed the hardware to KG, TD would have been the first player to win 3 MVP in a row... oh well.. Bro you should be happy that Kobe won the Socring title, his first ;) and I am confidient he will make the 1st all nba team :=) Bro I don't think it will matter how many shots kobe take... Suns are 8-0(???) against Lakers when Nash plays. I am sure you know why Nash and Bell didn't play against Lakers few weeks(???) back.... As a Spurs fan i was not happy to see them playing Kings. He suns coach didn't tank the game against Lakers, they would be playing Lakers. Spurs matches well against Lakers....

ani way AX bro....spurs wil match-up better with any team............. they are different from lakers and kings......... as lakers and kingas will be happy to win the playoff series........... for spurs anything less than championship is a failure................NASH will not be MVP.............He didn't receive enough first place vote to win it all..........kobe got most first place vote.....then labron...............but.........problem is KObe haters are so bad .......they didn't voted him in their top 5.............but labron has enough backing ........even those peopke who voted kobe # 1..........have voted laBron 2...................... thus it is a tight battle between kobe and Labron........NASH is no where in pics

Dead_B: Did you read the link I posted above? ESPN also confirmed the report...Are you sure Nash is not going to win? I really wanna believe it man....coz Kobe really is the only MVP this year....Nash was great...but it should be Kobe's year.... AX, I agree that Lakers haven't won against Suns with Nash, but man, its better late than Never, and tonite,,,,will be 8-1....Oh...how about trading KG to Lakers AX....I think there's a possibility that might happen...KG is going to be traded this year....

Oh well................ESPN people knows better...........than the khaire writting in a blog................. may be NASH got the MVP..............oh well ....from next year i would care about MVP...........it is the most stupid award ever...............I am tired of double standard...................If MVP is an individual performance award the give to best player in the league...........else change its name to the best team player award.....or in fact award to most winniest player and give it to Robert Horry....

I like that Dead_B: You know I am with you on this one man....Kobe is popular among Fans...Proof: Got most votes in All-star games after Yao (Chinese votes of course)... But, the writers who vote hold grudges against Kobe, coz of how Shaq and Phil left...and also the incident in Vail, CO......I wish they would judge him for what he does on the court....Last I checked, it was a NBA MVP award...not what someone does behind the scene award....

you are right dead_burton... I'm tired of this double standard too. They should have given MVP to Dirk... He deserved it.....

I agree with mokshya.....................Dirk would have better choice than NASH..................how come dalllas is ever better when league's MVP left..............dallas used to win 50 games with nash and without nash 60 games..............and also without finaley......dirk has made his team mates better.......Dirk has done better job .............coz if critique says Nash carried the team wihtout amare.................... But Drik carried the team without most valuable palyer NASH.................who is more valuable

KC bro, I hear alot about KG coming to Lakers :) All the Lakers fans here more excited about next year than this year :=) If he does I am gonna go see 2 games next year :=) But do Lakers have good enuf players to land KG? KG to Knicks seems foreseeable. According to merchandise sales, Kobe is not as popular as he used to be. I hear he is going to wear no 24 from next year. I wonder if that no is the average shots he is planning to take next year ;) Dirk finished 2nd on my MVP List :p

Mokshya has a point...Dirk carried his team without the League's MVP..... For some reason, the MVP voters are weird....who we think should win hardly win...I bet its the popularity contest among the writers....I wish they would consider fan's voices as well....But, they got vote, we don't ! AX, Man, KG can go to Lakers...but I think Lakers will have to give up Lamar, and may be Chris Mihm and a 3rd player....I like C.Mihm, so don't wanna lose him,,,,wonder if Kevin McHale agrees with Lamar and the new Center Lakers has from HS..and may be Devin George....will see......Kincks are a big Joke...I wonder when they gonna fire Issah Thomas...what a disaster this guy is ....everywhere he went as a Coach or a GM, he tanked the team....He was a great player, but not a GM or a coach....But like you said, Knicks won't mindspending money..so, who knows.. Oh, to please Mokshya, Dirk was 3rd on my list man...Kobe, James and Dirk (Nash and Elton Brand to follow).....

Seeing is believing! That's what happened for those anti-lakers and anti-kobe suckers. lakers were much aggressive and were playing much more like a team in compare to the awkward phoenix. except nash, nobody played their games as they were supposed to. what happened to T Thomas who went 4 for 12. he was sleeping tonight. today, lakers's defense in the first half kept them going their way. kobe, today too, proved that he is not just the scoring machine. grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing out 5 assists signifies itself. and what about the super hot performance by the odom. now lakers have their home advantage. they must utilize this opportunity and try to go 3-1 in this series and finally should win by 4-2 in their home.go lakers.....!!! go kobe...............!!!!!!!!!!!
