I would be happy if I knew even if only ONE person attended the rally with genuine concerns for democracy in Nepal, or even if only ONE person realized the value of free debates through a contribution of the rally to the trend of talking OPENLY about matters that affect us, or even if only ONE person THINKS about returning to Nepal, let alone actually doing so.

But this trend has started i-don't-know-how-many-miles away from Nepal in an internet board. Not many people in nepal have internet access and not many who have internet access visit sajha. How many posters are here from Nepal? So I don't see the discussions here having nay impact wahtsoever on Nepal's political developments. To use an analogy, its like kids reading all those be-good, don't-fight messages in their school's bulletin boards. They gather around, read and go back to their classses and start hitting each other again!

Aba bango chauda kura nagari, excluding those who have never commented on political issues, all other sajhaites can be classified as monarchist and anti-monarchist. As a supporter of democracy and pluralism, and because the King has clearly acted against democratic values, I am proud to call myself an anti-monarchist.
Here are some sajhaites who claim that they don't support dictatorship but continuously comment against the call for restoration of basic rights and simultaneously defend the King's move, no matter how undemocratic his actions are. Could they courageously admit that they are monarchist and they are against democracy?

I, on the other hand, am PRO-LIFE/PRO-HUMANITY. I don't have to create drama to declare what is right and what is wrong. The politicians have plundered Nepal worse than the King as seen during the multi party democracy and I am against repeating that again.

Claiming that the supporters of democracy hold a moral higher ground in the realm of freedom and personal liberty is not being undemocratic -- it's only being fair. I cannot fathom an idea of anyone supporting undemocratic principles should be given equal moral ground to the proponents of democracy in the framework of democratic principles.

I think it is only absurd that one should to abscribe to democracy in order to destroy it.
