buddha rather joins/relates nepal to india rather than separating.Remember which origin buddha came from.
I think the X- factor that separates nepal from india is the indominable nepalese people which is a beautiful amalgam of various hilly races living here.

Lots of things that separate. We:
- are less hairy
- don't pick our noses as often
- don't have third class jokes involving mother or sister
- dont shit out in open fields at 6 am.
- dont run around trees in the rain to profess our love.
- have less inter-religious tensions. hindus, buddhists, muslims and even christians living peacefully.
- have bigger balls.
- have a more varied taste in music.
- were never conquered by a foreign power.
- have better, classier, prettier women.
- can shit in the rivers and they will unknowingly drink it all.
- dont have a Bihar.
I'm sure theres lots more.

cacophonix bro, i dont agree with most of the points you said.
-i ve seen hairier nepalese(if u consider peoples of terai as nepalese which they are)
-each and every human picks his nose(thats a natural defense mechanism in our body and we all clear them time and again)
-to hear 3rd class jokes involving mothers and sisters plz go to pokhara and u ll know it for good:P
-shitting in open fields(OK, do u know how many nepalese families in nepal dont have a tiolet?)
-run around trees to profess our love(i would suggest you to watch some new nepali film trailers on YT)
-wellfor religious tensions, there have already been some in nepalgunj and birgunj;more are to come coz we ve come as religious communities a lot later together than indians)
-concerning our balls(if u mean courage ,its not like the british times in 18th century, martial races dont exist)
ani if u really mean testes, i ve not got the chance to compare mine with an indians
-taste in music(our non-filmi music scenario is better i must say)
-about being conquered( well almost, had the british been in better economical and military position in the times of anglo-nepal war, they would have invaded the fertile plains and the lower hilly range rather than nepal being a buffer-state with the mighty chinese empire on the other side of the himalayas;ani nepal wasent as rich as india in terms of land and private property-PASHUPATI INVASION BY TUGHLAK??)
-prettier women( i also find nepalese women better, but they have several miss universe and miss world dude;and numbers matter)
-Bihar(watching the whole political situation in south;i m damn sure we ll have a `'90s' bihari system in terai in this year or next)
I DONT LIKE THE OPPRESSIVE; DOGMATIC AND ARROGANT NATUREOF INDIANS I VE COME ACROSS WITH AND THEIR UNMORAL FOREIGN POLICY;BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN I WILL LOSE MY COOL AND CURSE THEM LIKE AN UNEDUCATED jERK.
jai Nepal!

- don't have third class jokes involving mother or sister
but we do have a third class word..the 'M' word..ever tried breaking it down and see what comes up? or should i do it for you?
- dont shit out in open fields at 6 am.
really??
- have less inter-religious tensions. hindus, buddhists, muslims and even christians living peacefully.
instead of that we might have some level of inter-regional tensions..where sometimes a person from the hills denies that a person from plains is even a nepali..
- were never conquered by a foreign power
no need for that..we experience one of the world's biggest civil wars..where we are killing our own people...i guess this is shameful enough..dont pay so much attention to what happened "once upon a time"..they got over it and see where they stand in world now..and what about us..where are we even if we didnt go through that..
-- dont have a Bihar.
yes we definitely dont have a state like Bihar..which was once a disgrace of a place but realized where it was going..changes the power and now see for yourself where it stands:

for these..i would love to have the link for that survey which led you to all these conclusions..
aru ko beijjat garera aafno ijjat badhne hoina..what do you guys try to achieve when you defame india like this? why can't you just understand they our neighbor and if will be better if we live in harmony...why cant you see their great sides..even PNS said "hami dui dhunga beech ko tarul hau"...try to understand this and understand that it will be better for us if we have a smooth relation with India..
thank you! peace!

Wow I am very proud of all you Nepalese out there who have acknowledge the reality and are respectful towards others.
I would like comment on @riddle's comment "We tend to be cooler."
Even I used to think that way-Nepalese dress-up better and all those bullshit. But after spending 2 years in India I realized that Indians with thier hard-working spirit gain the kind of money they desire for and propably "grooming lessons" too.
Let's get united as Nepalese first .

A country which grooms and retains such talents in hordes must have great things in place to be proud of. I so much feel embarrassed when Nepalese ridicule Indians. Grow up , people.

Most of these responses are shallow.
They will say they are better than you and you say you are better than them. Let a third party judge instead.
What really separate us from them are man-made physical borders and mental barriers.
