I can't afford to buy plane ticket and pay for hotel  so if you don't provide it, I won't waste time making a video. Can you answer yes you do or no you don't?

I guess all the You Tube video uploaders that are in millions made sure that their Plane tickets and hotels were booked before they made their video too.....hahhaha!       May be it requires a camera phone or video camera and 5 mins of time and I am damn sure every one got that!


@NepaleseSummerfest: Good luck brother...Hope we, as nepalese got at least one stand up comedian!

The reason Nepal does not have stand up comedians is because Nepalis are good at pulling legs. The stand up comedian will have to end up sitting down.

I liked chaureys question. He should be the stand up.

I am an insult comic and for that I need 3 bhotes, 4 jyapus, 5 bahuns, 2 raute, 2 maobadi, 3 rajabadu, 3 kami and 4 sarki sitting in the first row of my audience.

I am sure there are quite a few. What I am really scared for the Stand-up comedians, what if they get beaten for being offensive to certain Nepalis. You see it in Nepal all the time. The umpires in the games get beaten ;). Perhaps you'll have an insurance for the comedians :).

And the reason we don't have stand up comedians is it is beaten to us since childhood is the fact that comedy is merely doing caricatures. Look at all the famous comedy tv shows in Nepal, it is all about caricature. A good script is often ignored.

I propose we at sajha, as a whole, write a script based on our experiences. Sajha onion has already started the opening line "Why are Nepali people short" haha. I can see this happening. And someone at your festival can do the talking for us. :)

Sorry, didn't get back to you earlier. Your proposal is an excellent idea.  I hope our Sajha friends are working on the script.  We cannot wait this script. I'm sure we will be able find a few actors/actresses perfect for the script. This is such a neat idea :-)

Here's my few monologues:
One fresh off the boat Nepali ask me " Tapai Nepali ho.?". I stared him down and said, " hoina" and walked away. Thats just me being an ass.
I started my community college doing LP volunteer job. Wonder what LP is? I used to do  "lyaune puraune " new nepali chicks from Indian grocery store to the the college and back to their apartment with the hope of getting laid. Bad idea. Should have charged them for the service!
I drove around Sonics looking for drive thru. Couldnt find it.
