ब्राहृमण समुदायद्वारा छुट्टै राज्यको माग

१ मंसिर, चितवन । चितवन जिल्लालगायत आसपास क्षेत्रका ब्राहृमण जातिले छुट्टै प्रान्तीय राज्यको माग गरेका छन् ।

ब्राम्हण जातिको उल्लेख्य उपस्थिति हुँदाहुँदै चितवनलाई विभिन्न जातिले
आफ्नै राज्यको माग राख्न थालेपछि ब्राम्हण समाज, चितवनले शनिबार साँझ
भरतपुरमा एक कार्यक्रमको आयोजना गरी छुट्टै राज्यको माग गरेको हो ।

चितवन, नवलपरासी र मकवानपुरका केही क्षेत्रसहित समेटेर छुट्टै राज्य हुनुपर्नेमा उनीहरुले जोड दिए ।

समाजले नवलपरासीको दाउन्ने डाँडादेखि चितवनसहित पूर्वी मकवानपुरको गढीसम्म नारायणी प्रान्तको माग गरेको हो ।

ब्राहृमणलगायत क्षेत्री र ठकुरी जातिको आवाज हालसम्म कुनै तर्फबाट
नआएको भन्दै समाजले आफूहरु सङ्गठित भएर हकअधिकारका लागि अगाडि आउनु परेको
समाजका अध्यक्ष काशिराम पौडेलले बताउनुभयो ।

समाजले कुनै जातिविशेषको प्रदेश हुन नहुने समेत स्पष्ट पारेको छ ।
समाजले आफूहरु जातीय सद्भावमा दृढ रहेको र समानुपातिक हिसाबमा सङ्घीय
हुनपर्नेमा जोड दिएको छ ।

जिल्ला विकास समिति, चितवनले दिएको जानकारीअनुसार चितवनमा ब्राम्हण
समुदायको सङ्ख्या दुईलाखको हाराहारीमा रहेको छ । समाजले ब्राम्हण
समुदायबाहेक उल्लेख्य जनसङ्ख्या रहेको क्षेत्री र ठकुरी समुदाय पनि एक
रहेको बताएको छ । चितवनमा करिब पाँचलाख जनसङ्ख्या रहेको छ ।

I don't like the condensending tone in the subject line.

So it's okay as long as other groups demand for their own soveriegn rajya, but when it comes to khas you have a problem?

I am a khas and I would never ask for a separate rajya; but if you are hell bent on dividing Nepal wouldn't you think that they need one too?? Why the exclamation points???

I hope these people come to their senses and stop this stupid demands of dividing Nepal.

jaba 1-2 percent population bhako le rajya paucha, rajya ko mag garya cha  bhane........Why shouldn't khas  who are 41 percent of the population of nepal get rajya?

..I am on my way to Capitol Hill. The bill is already more than 2000 pages. But I think everyone should get a fair share..even its 1%-2% of the Bahun population demanding...they should be included..and I don't think it will hurt if you slide one more page in the bill..I don't want to see Nepal another Afganishtan or Pakistan. What nonsense is happening in Nepal.. these maoists advocate for "one people" no race ideas claiming equality among all races jat bhat..... but they are the ones creating all sort of groups "Newa Mukti Morcha, Limbuwan mukti morcha and so on:.. and announcing autonomous regions.. I don't understand this double standard.....

Why the hell don't they first make a law that inter-caste marriage is now banned... then you as*qwholes start asking for autonomous regions.....

Somewhere something is stuck in Nepal.. it could be that the politcal parties are all as*wholes.. and most of the population have no understanding of the reality...

  Do you think Khas are only 17 percent in Nepal.   If i am wrong i must be wrong on the lower  side  by underestimating.

And I hate when people modify the news and focus on bahun.  I think the above news is a piece of yellow journalism. When Khas jati ask for state nobody listens, when bahun says every body makes mockery by saying .....Bahun lai ni chahiyo re.

I hate when people ask for states.  First thing why divide in state.  Why not divide 14 zones of nepal into 14 states. Simple and it won't be unfair to any ethinic group.


Ani tyo " khas-bahun lai rajya chahiyo" bhanne bahun haru  minority ho. They don't represent majority of the populations.   We just want to let us live in Nepal with respect.

The best option for our country is "baise" and "chaubise" rajya. It was the foolish deed of King Prithvi Narayan Shah that he spent his life hooking up these rajyas. Good luck for maoist. I am eager to see we people being divided and killing each other.

When will we be able to see that all this are maoists' plans? We all are falling into their traps. Nobody wants their state, yet they are throwing the fear tactics and causing a rift among the people. Why should we hate each other? Why do people want to stereotype bahuns? Why do bahuns get threatened to hear "janajatis" and accuse them of being "opportunistics"? Noone will get anything by hurting each other. We all know that. But yet we love to pull each other's legs. We expect to have a decent conversation and yet we expect the other party to ignore when I make serious FALSE accusations.

Any political agenda based on caste is bad regardless of which caste it is in favour of... You don't have to go beyond sajha pages to see how extremism is taking roots in our society and country at large and how people are falling into the traps of selfish agendas fueled by castes.

Every caste has the right to protect their culutre and traditions. In context of Nepal, I can see a lot of people claim they are the "indigenous people of Nepal" and to be perfectly honest, isolating the Bahuns and Chhetris of the country. My simple question to them is how Bahuns and Chhetris are not the indigenous people of Nepal. Why would they be a less of a Nepali than anyone else? Why would a poor Bahun/Chhetri not deserve a similar previleges as a poor from any other caste? If everyone in the damn coutnry in indigenous, then what is the point of bringing up the aboriginality of the people? Obviously, these terms have identifiable meanting in the context of new countries like the US, Canada, Australia, NZ etc. but it has no place in a country like our with such ancient history and cultural diversity. I can see a lot of educated fools everywhere including this forum who are jati first and Nepali only after that. Before anyone jumps into conclusions, I am not a Bahun or Chhetri. I am just a Nepali and do not wish to have it any other way...
