Wow! wonderful.. Certainly, the Celts are the team to watch next season after having so many years of boring seasons. If the deal completes, KG, 2004 season MVP, finally has chance to appear in the NBA finals from the weak eastern conference. Let's see how Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, and KG co-ordinate with each other. Sometimes, too many stars don't fit well in a single team.

I think I will finally start liking the Celtics now. KG is a great great player and he will fit in really well with the team. He is a very good team player so it will be an easy transition. With Peirce's play making skills, Ray Allen's shooting and KG's overall play on offense and defense, the C's will be amazing.

Yeah..sounds like finally he is gonna get outta MN. Its good that he is heading out to Celtics but I still think it would be nice if he goes to L.A and they cry baby (kobe) stop complaining.

'Bout time KG heded to a major city as he just wasn't getting the recognition he should've playing in MN. Would've thought that LA was gonna be his first choice but it looks like the often ignored Beantown won this round...Ben outta touch with ESPN lately and no news about all the happenings. What about the Knicks? Nothing new this season??...Gotta keep twiddling my thumb as that more interesting than their current roster.

Well, the Knicks did get Zach Randolph from Portland. That will improve them on offense significantly.

I hated Danny Ainge so much after he dismantled the Celtics system. I used to get happy when Celtics lost, hope fully this attitude of mine will change start appreciate wins.

Though not a guy to carry a team, I hope Zach Randoplh can bring about a lil change...Its a shame that the Mecca of Basket-ball has become host to a member of the East's weakest team for the past few years and we surely need a lot more finer players than we currently have.

new converted Celts fan :=) This will save Ainge's job for one more year ;) I loved the guy when he played for Suns. he gave out everything at court. Even loved more when he went at MJ once.... but he ain't good coach or GM. He suits more as a TNT analyst

AX, How many times do you convert, as your favorite plays move around:P In fact, I ignored the Celts so much that I don't even know their roaster. However, I went to watch a couple of games. I flipped the channel when there's Celts game. Now, I won't do that. Maybe I should buy a couple of seasonal tickets. I think the circle has completed... the celts maybe back to its dynasty.

The Mecca of basketball is Boston, MA. Also, Mass is the birth place of basketball. And finally, the greatest basketball team of all time(16 championships total and champs 10 out of 11 years) will finally be resurrected. The Patriots, the Red soxs, Celtics, and Revolutions... Boston is #1 as it should be.

hahaha only for you it is...Ask anyone in the NBA, see ESPN analysts when they talk about MSG or even MJ and see what they tell ya bout our beloved MSG. Bston may be the birthplace of basket-ball but MSG is where it found wisdom and oppotune. NY, always was and still is refered to as the Mecca of Basket-ball.

I couldn't bro, due to the damn scheduling of the soccer matches...Always overlaps with the basket-ball (anyway, we won in soccer so that made up for it I guess). In case you saw the games, a few of my cuzns were in the MMC team and as far as I heard they played really wel but were undersized as compared to the DH team. However, next year, ceteris paribus, they will be doing a lot better as they've just got a 6' 5" recruit who will provide the much needed size and also, was told that he would be ANA's first dunker. Can't wait for that to become a reality though. Go MMC (not the soccer team though)!!

6'5'' recruit huh, sounds interesting. We'll see how he plays next year. There will be a lot more competition next year that's for sure. There will be at least two teams from Boston, and I am sure a lot more from other states near by.

Yah, I watched the MMC games, although they lost in the early rounds, I really thought that they were the 2nd best team in the whole tournament. Most people did nt bother looking at the games, but anyone who saw MMC play can tell you that they could easily beat Dallas, DC and Boston. SIX FIVE!!! Shit man, how the hell did Neps get this big.

Baller, The Knickerbockers have only 2 championships as compared to the Celtics' 15/16. However, if you think that classifies the stauts of being called the Mecca, then you're way off the target. I've see venues half-full in big cities such as LA and Boston (quarter full in DC) but does that ever happen at the MSG even though the Knicks (I hate to say it) suck?? Never. Thats the reality...Players want a full audience and not be playing like they represent the minor/developmental leagues. MSG therfore is one of the reasons why NBA ballers call it the mecca. BTW, Knick fans are Knick fans. We're used to the disappointments every year and its become a habit already. However, we are the truest of them all and we go thru the ups and downs together. Go Knicks. Even though you lose and have some of the worst/over-hyped/over-rated/over-paid players in the league, I still love ya! Now bring daddy a championship soon, would ya??

let the truth be told ... boston will go to playoffs .. may go to second round and lose with detroit or cleveland ... just mere aging stars wont take them to LALA LAND ... will it make them better?... ohh yes ... but look at them .. all aging ... and sharing is what all superstars will have to learn ... just look at good teams .. they have one super star .. and very good suporting cast ... boston .. three superstars .. huh ...i hope it works for them .. at least take them to playoffs .. just coz they are better on paper .. it not certain they are for REAL .. tell me if i am wrong..

Yeah, I heard that the rebounding killed them as DH got 3/4ths of it...Anyway, its good to know they proved themselves. BTW, thats exactly what I thought when I heard it, but my sources have confirmed that there is indeed a Nep guy that tall right here who plays ball (hahah BTW, I'm not a scout). I hope he can make it to the ANA though and provide MMC the much needed size, then all other teams would be flies on the wall waiting to be swatted right away.
