It really seems to be an exciting journey!

But, why is Tibet shown as a different country in the map?

Sweet man!!
I would go.
I hope the visa mechanics are worked out. Carrying nepali passport and travelling so many countries could give you alot of hassle.

N bro, u don hav to worry abt visa, it will defnietly work out without any hassle, once u have visa stamp of first world country (US, Europe or Aus or like that).

In some point, it could be even economic than flying to NEpal:- )

If you want u can join me from New York to Kathmandu through hiking.

Ah,
guys are too smart now, you all read my mind and posted here
i have a plan too, very similiar except
Its free of charge
New york to KTM via indian railways
yes free....like alakatra
its more like a competetion
rules
1, you gotta swim across the Hudson river five in the morning this weekend( you come out alive, you are the man, you come out dead, no problem, hell's door is always open for you).
2,Because of bad weather in New York, lots of flights have been cancelled and most of pilots have gone to their holes, busy screwing their blondes and brunettes may b rentals too,
so we had to hire a different pilot and different airline,
Mr. Balkar Singh drives a cab in New York city 18 hours a day and he is off this Sunday, he will be operating our rented Pakistan Airlines,
you all will be provided economy class ticket and contuinuing your habit, you will be seated like bheda bhakra,(clean words, hold the walls and poles, no seats, seats for other passengers who paid money).
following muslim tradition, during take off and landing, you will be part of "allah hu akbar"singing competetion. Remember folks, its all about winning , in case if you lose, plane's doors always open for you.
Dont worry, you wont die just because someone threw you out of the plane, you may just land in some different country and start working there, always a plus. Customer satisfaction is our priority.
oh yea, since Mr. Balkar is very skilled driver, he may take sharp left and right turns and even brake abruptly sometimes. He thinks there is no major difference betweeen planes and taxis, they both have brakes and wheels. That means its a plus too, you never know you may land in Japan too.
our tour company is shortstaffed temporarly. I wont be able to send any agent on that plane , so pls keep on reminding Mr. Balkar the direction. These Pajis are crazy, always after MERA PUNJAB MAHAN...BLAH ...BLAH...BLH...
one possibility is you may end up in Jalandhar at pajis house, eating muli paratha
3, most diffcult part, if you make it to KTM, dont forget to call your minister uncle or officer uncle, since you all have habit of not paying custom duty, yours truely uncle and ministers may come handy, you b rich and let the country be poor.
Enough said, its open this saturday.
directions
come to Times Square, and enjoy free chia pan with bhatmas and chiura
PLEASE no pollition inside the plane, REMEMBER DOORS ARE ALWAYS OPEN< DO YOU WANT TO GO DOWN?
anyways good luck to you all

Hey TutunkaMun bro, no yaar its not possible by driving.....it may take ages coz one wil easiyl get exhausted and the driving system is not safe in that region and one may get probelms........thats really long journey.

Well, whatever u guys think its really possible to go Nepal by road from EUROPE. It was one lousy evening when me and my Nepali friend were having great time cruising STOCKHOLM- HELSINKI. We met an outgoing KIWI who had been to NEPAL twice and he did the same trip which Im willing now. The only thing is VISA hassles but it can easily be tackled if u plan before hand.

Here is my rough plan....

-To take a train to St Petersburgh from Europe. (Cost around 50 euros)
Staying a day or two (dont wanna spend more time coz already been there)

-Take a bus /train to Astana (capital city of Kazakasthan) from St petersburgh (Staying couple of days in suburb areas for free.....coz I will make HOST through interent)

-Passing through Ashgabat (Capital city of Turkemenisthan) and perhaps take one day rest (Again in some host family)

--
Then heading towards TEHRAN....(Capital of Iran)....staying 2-4 days

--Then taking a runnig towards AFGHANISTHAN......(SPENIDING few days in KABUL) to be 100% cautious and alret.

--Then going to PAKISTAN... meeting some frens in LAHORE, visiting ISLAMABAD..

--After few days, taking bus LAHORE--AMRITSAR (India)

-Amritsar- Delhi

-Delhi--Gorakhpur (Train)

Gorakhpur- Sunauli (Bus)

Sunauli -Kathmandu (NIHIT BUS)

-----------------------

In a nutshell it is,
Europe- Russia-Kazakasthan- Turkeminsthan- Iran-Afghanisthan- Pakistan- India-Nepal
