i ahve seen a lot of india hating on sajha, especially by the so called royalists and antionalists. here is what i say to them: your king the Shah dynasty and the Ranas they all came from india. there is no doubt about that it's in the history. if any body wants proof i can cite here so basically speaking we are being ruled by indian blood right now and nepali language came from india no doubt i did a lot of research on this after a many people on sajha called me a dhoti supporter and what not; as if they are more nepali than i am just because i speak the truth and don't hate dhotis. if you can refute this then BRING IT ON!

Yoh Birbhadra, Your stupidity has no bound. If we all are indians then all you indians are muslims because when the mongols came to India they f****ed all the dhotis wives, sisters, and mothers they abused you all converting all to muslim ancestry so do not give me that bull cram about ancestry. Also look up the history in which it states that people ran away from mongal invasion and came to Nepal, so technically we are not part of your race. And talking about Paras's wife and his children then, they will not be around to rule Nepal at all, especially if Paras becomes the King because people of Nepal will chase him and his dhoti wife and children away. As far as language goes Sanskrit is not Indian language idiot, it is the language of subcontinent. Bengaladesh has Sanskrit derive language and look at how much they hate the dhoties why don't you tell them that they are Indians and see what they will do to you.

My few thoughts: I guess that hating or loving india is not going to solve the problems in Nepal. But the ancestors of royals and many people in Nepal goes definitely back to India. Shahs are even supposed to come from 'khan' clang, which is obviously a muslim. India has tried to exploit Nepal too. It has captured almost all the rivers from Nepal except the Karnali. They've made an agreement to own these rivers for very long period (Int'l rules allow these agreements to have a certain period only). They always have taken advantage of crooked leaders to get these water resources from Nepal. I didn't like when UML demonstrators were singing nepali version of 'Hum honge kamayab ek din'. I just don't understand why do they have to translate that hindi song when we've our own homemade songs. A gandharba kid is an example of it. I like his voice. Afterall, I never supported indian team whenever I watched cricket. But all these things does not justify to hate whole India. Most of indians don't even have a clue what indian gov. is doing to Nepal. I really feel sad n' bad when madhesis (no matter whether they come from nepali land of terai or even from bihar) are beaten or treated badly. It's so inhuman. But unfortunately it's common to degrade madhesi vendors in nepal. It just reflects our own character.

Okay birbhadra.. why do you think that only nationalist and royalist hate india..who said you like that? I have seen nothing related with them.. You sound lot stupid ....so i don't agree with you... The whole things you said above is nonsense and its meaningless..common who told you about sanskrit..go and find out the origin ..there are many language derived from sanskrit and you cannot say all of them indian..every country has their own identity. If you go to find the origin of roots where we came from and based upon that you cannot judge...Okay i have a question for you...the american origin is red indians..but all white people migrate from Europe...but you cannot say that irish, italian, and blabla ruled united states.and president of united states is irish instead of american. ..and nepal is the home to lots of ethenic diversity.. Some people may have come from north or some may have been south..you cannot say the people whol lives in south "indian" or you cannot say north people "tibetan" based upon their looks.............. Nepal is a country with its own identity..so if you think like that i have seen many indians they think that mount everest is in india and buddha was born in india...common won't you be pissed off...or will you go back to the origin and say well nepal used to be ruled by so called indian blood....So you must be a person who don't have your own identity..just try to keep that things within you......... Note: You don't need to be nationalist or anything to write..Dont connect royalist and indian haters...

i guess i did not make it clear that this thread was infact regarding those who blatantly challenged me that nepali language origin doesnot go back to india (indian subcontinent if you prefer). the Shahs came from northern gujrat and or southern punjab, if you know gujrati it sounds so similar to nepali the way the grammar is organized. not only that our national dress also is similar to rajasthani and gujrati custumes. my objection was towards those who do not want to accept this facts. sure we do have our own unique identity (in general sense) but to become a real nepali you have to hate india or indian (yes! somepeople here believe that) in other words dhoti, please give me a break!!!! i avoided a lot of explaining because i thought (smart) people know most of this facts unlike me (who is well according to some stupid) and nepali did not and could not have derived directly from sanskrit , yes the contemporary nepali is more like sanskrit than the old time nepali. if you know what i mean.

Birbhadra ji , Plz don't make a fooll out of ur self, when u don't know something its better to keep quiet, U know what " Something is better than nothing but remember nothing is better than nonsense". The word Shah came from the word persian, mean s king or saint. Thats how the word Badshah came , baad means great in pushto and theword shanshah also came from persian, sahan means highest place or the word throne. as far u r talking about gujrati shah , its different man, In Nepali there are two word "Sa", if u ask the persiaqn speaking people they will tell u what is the different. As far the nepalese Shah Dynasty goes their surname was" KHA" and one of the moghul emperor gave them the title shah.

manish ji, okay your point noted, so shah dynasty came from where now? india right? regardless of the facts you provided vs. i pointed it still proves my objective that the royal regime is not native to nepal. so to show that we are nationalist we don't have to be a royalist. that serves my purpose

Birbhadra, it is not about hating India, it is about seeking to live with dignity as agood neighbor. It is all but natural to have hard feeling for the selfish interference and exploitation, but again we have to take the blame for providing the opportunity and geing ourselves screwed. Regarding, origin well yeah an Indian subcontinent origin is true, but again we can say India belongs to Nepal for we could withstand to submit ourselves to those foreign invasions, while rest of the subcontinent was being traded constantly changing hands of foreign rulers.

Maltreatment of Nepalese in India--another reason for hatred KSU drive on, 200 more Nepalis detained By Our Reporter SHILLONG: Beginning from where they left on Wednesday, the Khasi Students' Union continued with their "drive against influx" and detained 200 more Nepali nationals at Umsning in Ri-Bhoi district on Thursday. In utter disregard to the administration and presence of the any government in the State, the union members rounded up these Nepali nationals from various buses coming from Assam. The KSU alleged that the "illegal migrants" were on their way to coal mine areas of Jaintia Hills to capture labourers jobs. They were later handed over to police for deportation. In view of the reports that many people from neighboring countries like Nepal and Bangladesh were infiltrating into the State, KSU president Samuel B Jyrwa said that the members of the union were on extra alert along the National Highway."Owing to the efforts of our members, the Nepali National were detained and prevented from infiltrating into the State", Mr Jyrwa said with a sense of pride. He said influx of foreign nationals has become the main cause of concern for them as they are posing serious threat to the economic well being of the genuine citizens of the State. Possibly aware of the controversy that the union's action might give rise to, Mr Jyrwa said he along with other KSU members met the State Home Minister Mr HDR Lyngdoh and expressed concern over the issue."We have clearly stated while having discussion with Mr Lyngdoh that compliance of the Indo-Nepal Friendship Treaty, 1950 does not mean that Nepalis have got every right to infiltrate into the State as labourers. They are only allowed to visit the State as tourists without visa. Mr Jyrwa said that the KSU wanted the Home Minister to push back these detainees to Nepal and take necessary steps to stop their entry to the State. The issue will be discussed again in the forthcoming North East Students Organisation (NESO) meeting on December 17 and 18 at Kohima and a demand would be placed before the Centre to scrap this treaty or exempt northeast from its ambit, the KSU president said.

since this is a very sensitive issue i'm not going to hurt any feelings. i guess my language skills are not that great. a lot of the comments posted were not relevant to what i was trying to say. anyhow since a lot of people misunderstood me there is no point going forward with this thread. however, i would like to adress some of the comments: ne23pe, sanskrit is the language of the indian subcontinent. bangladeshi do not like indians because they are muslims and they do not like secular india. during india pakistan partition there were around 60 -70% hindus in east pakistan that is bengladesh now. now the population of hindus in bengla is around 7% eventhough they are all bengali (same race same language) they (hindus) were persecuted on base of religion. so most people were either converted or fled the country. so your your argument was not very effective. ss74k wrote: "The whole things you said above is nonsense and its meaningless..common who told you about sanskrit..go and find out the origin ..there are many language derived from sanskrit and you cannot say all of them indian." what is the origin of sanskrit then my friend? yes there are many language derived from it including nepali. i didn't say all of them are indian. even the other indian languages like tamil is quite different from sanskrit. the origin of sanskrit has to be indian subcontinent of which large portion is now india . nepal was almost inhabited back in those days. for your info i didn't say all nepali have indian origin my opinion was only relevant to the royal dynasty. even i know some indians who blatantly said mt. everest was in india turns out they were taught in school that it was in northern part of india ( which is highly conniving) it was especially true with the south indian education, that is weird. and hell yeah i argued with them fiercely and F*** proved them it was in nepal but not for the sake of that heap of rock that we call mt. everest but for the sake of truth. and Buddha he was enlightened in bodh gaya, he spent most of his life outside of nepal. yes you are right siddhartha gautam was born in nepal but nepal is NOT the birth place of buddhism. this becomes really complicated issue. during the spread of buddhism by king ashoka much of the present day india was buddhist but interestingly nepal was not fully buddhist. there were hindus and animistand buddhist another reason was very little population in nepal at that time. inteestingly when kennedy was elected he was labeled as first irish catholic president of USA. i hope that counters your argument. you can watch the "american president vol I" if you would like to verify that it's a documentary. and yes some royalist told me you have to be a dhoti hater to be nationalist and this thread was about that in the first place. okay i think i made my self clear. if not either i'm a moron or everyone else is (even after reading this) and for the sake of my own gratification i will think other wise. hehehe peace on nepal shall prevail! Jai Nepal
