Nepe published some links to

FreeNepal.org and LiberalDemocracyNepal.org

I went LiberalDemocracyNepal.org, and they don't have
dynamic posting methods i.e. if you want to put your
opinion they won't let you do it by yourself. You you
have to either go through the moderator or keep silence.
It is the funny part. They call their website is dedicated
to liberal democracy (udarbadi loktantra), but they
are scared in letting people to put their opinion freely.
What kind of liberal democracy they want to bring?
Girija Tantra type, where you can criticize others
for not letting what you want to do, but within your
own Nepali Congress Party the same rule does not apply.

Liberal Democracy Nepal people don't want to have liberal
democracy within their own discussion forum
(i.e. google's liberaldemocracynepal discussion group
owned by the same people). It is our Nepali feudal mentality
we want democracy for our closed group only and call
it as democracy to people, while we keep on controling
the rest of the people. My question to them is that why
should they control the flow of ideas through the moderator?
If they can not open their discussion forum for public, then
how can we assure that they are for real genuine liberal
democracy in Nepal?

God Bless them.

Spokesperson for
eNepali Congress Party.
(newly reNamed: we are searching for a good representing
name: thats called keep on moving? Having fun in name.
K garne Naming requires intutive capabilities and we are
looking for our members to try intutive names. So, we
tried 10s of names..... Anyway, its not registered yet
with public officials, so lets keep on trying.... Statistically,
and probabilistically e.g. half rule, you will finally find
a good name in due time. I am wondering whether we
need to put eNepali National Congress Party or
eNepali Liberal Congress Party).

Hmmm, idea ta great nai ho, tara website haru yati dherai khuli sake ki,
"naya website kina?" bhanne prasna ko uttar pauna garoh hola jasto
chha. Just to counter Liberal Democracy Nepal? Certainly not. Liberal
Democracy Nepal owner Dr. Bohara is a big guy among Nepali Diaspora
in USA, primarily because of his position at NMU, secondarily because
he is here for such a long time that he has a closed circle and therefore,
he don't have to open his forum for public consumption, like King G's
circle Rana-Shah-Thakuri-some Chhetries, who can justify the closed
politics in Nepal, similarly, Dr. Bohara's circle will not like open democracy
in his Liberal Democracy Nepal forum. King G's democracy is for those
who like King G and similarly Dr. Bohara's Liberal Democracy Nepal forum
is Liberal for those who are in his circle. Its like Chinese Communist Party
claiming Democracy in China, in China there is democracy as long as
you are within the communist party. So, today's democracy is very
difficult to understand and you will get democracy as long as you are
within that KHEMA who defines the democracy.

So, why a new website? For me Sajha.com is great so far. First reason
for the success of Sajha.com is that the owner of the Sajha.com Mr. San
does not participate in any political topics or any other topics other than
site's issues. That is San behaves like a constiutional monarch. This site
will lose its values if San starts pondering his ideas or beliefs in Sajha.com.
So, lets assume that Sajha.com is good for us and for all Janata class
people, its certainly not good for ruling class people like the moderators
in Liberal Democracy Nepal forum. If they have guts, either they should
change the "Liberal Democracy" word or they should start their campaign
first making the website or forum really Liberal i.e. open to all public.

God Bless Liberal Democracy Nepal forum.

Spokesperson for
Nepali CyberCongress Party (NCCP)

Now,

Our Nepali CyberCongress Party has come up with the idea
of having a possibility of opening a new website that can
be called as SevenPartyAlliance.com to support the effort
of the Seven Parties in Nepal. We can provide their program
related news, views and other links to promote their effort.
They were certainly corrupt and indulged in wrong doing for
last 13 years, but they were more transparent than the
King G's or his ancestor's Panchayat Politics or 235 years of ruling
in Nepal.

For our party, starting a new website is not a problem, but for
us biggest problem is to "keep on moving". to start you need
inspiration, but to keep on moving you need motivation and
dedication. Its a well known fact. So, like TND comes and go
and we have seen many websites came and gone, and if we
really want, can we survive for some reasonable length of time?
Can we prepare successors, so that the leadership can be
transferred? A leader without a successor is dictator, and Girija
Koirala is dictator in Nepali Kangress, because majority of Kangressies
say that there is no leader next to Girija. Indeed, Girija is dictator
in Nepali Kangress and therefore, he had miserably failed to have
a successor and Kangressies have to still reli on an old man who
speaks today something and next day he denies or twist the
speech.

So, when we start a new website, we should be ready to share
leadership and transfer it to the people behind and gracefully
leave the scene when the website is red hot, and pave the road
for next generation leaders.

Nepalis lack the trend mentioned above. TND lacked the same thing,
Rajpal ji came back and tried to control Ujjwal (those who read the
articles published by Rajpal ji in Sirdar Khalifa's name around the beginning
of this year in TND knows). He did not have guts to let ujjwal do
in his own way and I guess TND was doing wonderful job, but
return of Rajpal was the worst fact that caused TND to crash.

So, when we have a new website, we should certainly think all
these best and worst scenarios.

Good Luck.

Nepali CyberCongress Party (Virtual)

Guru-jee,

Since you got first information about "Freenepal.org", "Liberal Democracy Nepal" and "nepaldemocracy@googlegroups.com" from me, here is a quick additional information.

1. Dr. Alok Bohora is one of the active members and an editor. Here is the list of the founding members of "Liberal Democracy Nepal " (LDN):

Dr. Alok K. Bohara
Dr. Anup K. Pahari
Ms. Mallika Shakya
Mr. Sharda J. Thapa
Dr. Gaury Adhikary
Dr. Ambika Adhikari
Mr. Girija Gautam
Mr. Arun Sharma
Dr. Shiva Gautam
Mr. Suman Timsina
Mr. Shambhu Lama
Mr. Naresh Koirala
Mr. Dilli Raman Dhakal
Dr. Govinda Koirala
Dr. Jeet Joshee
Dr. Shyam Karki
Dr. Tara Niraula
Dr. Madhu Ghimire
Mr. Dilli Chaudhury
Mr. D.B. Gurung
Mr. Subhas Darnal
Ms. Bishnu Pariyar
Mr. P.L. Bishwokarma
Mr. Purana Bista
Mr. Yubaraj Ghimire
Dr. Murari Sharma
Mr. Bishal K.C.
Mr. Puru Subedi
Mr. Prakash Adhikari
Mr. Ujjwal Bhattarai
Mr. Hom Raj Acharya
Mr. Ratan Jha
Dr. Pramod Aryal
Dr. Pramod Mishra
Dr. Mahendra Lawoti
Dr. Mukti Upadhyay

As far as I understand, LDN is organized as a semi-academic organization as opposed to activist organization. LDN's website appears somewhat messy to me. Perhaps that's the reason it's discussion forums are not very active.

2. Freenepal.org, on the other hand, is an activist organization. It has not revealed it's members. Ms. Daniela Ponce is the official contact person and she and Mr. Homraj Acharya have been co-ordinating it's activities. Their website is relatively very active. You can post your comments to it's articles as freely as in Sajha, but not as indecently as in Sajha.

3. "nepaldemocracy@googlegroups.com" has been my favorite place to hang out, because all rich, famous, powerful and beautiful Nepalis and celebrities hang out there nude. Okay, I am joking. But really, nobody is allowed to put on mask and you can meet a lot of famous and influential people there. But entering in is as hard as entering the wife-swapper's club reported in Sajha sometime ago. Basically, you need to apply with your real personal information and at least one member should know you personally for your application to be accepted.

It was formed after a high volume spontaneous email discussions in various topics after DC rally.

Hope it was informative.

Enepali.

Well said bro about leadership in Nepali Congress. Girja is a dictator in NC. He got all his family members in Central Commitee. He was supposed to retire after 2nd term as a president of NC which is stated in NC Constitution. This is his 3rd term. Little wonder why democracy failed in Nepal since there is no democracy inside Nepali Congress. There is no successor. Girja never tried to groom 2nd generation leader. He is just depressed that there is no one from his clan to head the post he kept for so long. Yestei ho hamro des ko haalat.

dc_girl,

As I explained, visitors are not allowed to enter at all, not even to have only a peek.

And having a "source-force" is a must to get the admission. Since I know real you, you can use my name, if you want, as a "shifarish-kartaa" and send a request for subscription to:

Yesterday, I tried to register myself with my real name.
Oops, there is nothing about Sifarish from someone.
There is no guidance excenpt you enter your nickname.
If the group owners were for real democracy, they
would have at least allowed to see the discussions.
Its like a gangster's group, I wonder whether I can leave
once I join it. I hardly believe that its for Democracy
in Nepal. Though Nepe ji claims that its better than
Liberal Democracy Nepal, I hardly see it any better
than dr. Bohara's discussion forum.

If I need someone's sifarish to join a forum that claims
to be working for democracy, I will say "No thanks".

Guru,

You are confused. I was comparing the websites of LDN and FreeNepal in terms of design and simplicity. That's all.
nepaldemocracy@googlegroups.com is a separate, independent and spontaneous group. It does not belong to LDN or FreeNepal, for that matter.

It's true some people from LDN and probably from FreeNepal too are active in nepaldemocracy@googlegroups.com. However, it's a separate and independent discussion forum and there are people from all walks of life and faith active in it. बुझ्नुभो ?
