I appeared for interview on Jan 7th...I was told that visa will be issued once they have updated PIMS...haven't heard yet. because I saw a phone number of Kentucky Consular Center on the other thread, I called them and they said that they did not receive it from USCIS. anyone else going through similar situation? my flight was scheduled on the 17th but canceled. worried...

If your company is e-verify company then PIMS verification does not take much time otherwise it will take minimum of 3 weeks or even more than that. So, ask your company to contact the USCIS and DHS and request for expedite the process saying that they have project deadline and they want you at the earliest.

Thank you guys for helpful info above. I called KCC who said they don't have my info. Then I contacted lawyer who in turn emailed USCIS. USCIS is going to look if in fact they sent a copy to KCC or not. Haven't heard from them yet. KCC ko number 606 526 7526 ho. I don't think they have dedicated call center. The person asked me where I found this number. I said, 'online'. Maile pani NVC lai phone garda, they said PIMS has not been updated because of 'case overload lately, they are little behind". Keep me posted please. thanks

Embassy called me today, and said that they might have wrong petition number. This might have been why they weren't able to update it. I gave original I-797 to them today. Even then, they said the petition number wasn't in PIMS. They said they will let me know what happens. Fingers crosses................

All the best! Wakil ko suggestion ma emailed the senate office responsible for company's district despite knowing it might not do much. CEAC ma case updated date changed to Jan. 22 but the status itself remains as is.

Same thing with me too. Updated Jan 25th. I guess it's a good sign. They are at least looking at the case daily. However, an authentic document I found online does say that once the consular office emails PIMS department, it should not take more than 2 weeks to update the petition. Don't know what's taking this long.....
