Hey friends I have a plan to create some opportunity in Nepal, Lets see how it works: Suppose I know one of the software company here in USA, its name is Vitech. They pay almost a minimum of 5000$ per month to their employee. I will take patent right with them and establish the same company in Nepal.  I will also ask them to give me some of their project to accomplish. Only thing I need is manpower in Nepal. They have to pay only around 1000$ per month for each employee(lets suppose) coz 1000$= 70000 Rs. Will they allow me to do so? I mean will they trust me and give me thei project? I think this will help to reduce some unemployment rate there............

I need ur suggestions

Thanks

@Bhojpure1- What did you find so offensive about sna's question. As far as I am concerned, it was just a simple question but what do I know.

@Lalitpurguy1- Your question is, " I mean will they trust me and give me thei project?". Of course they will trust you. Why wouldn't they? After all, you already have a working relationship with the company's owner and he knows how reliable and skillful you are. He might just start out giving you a small project but once you complete it in time and provide good quality work, why wouldn't he trust you? His only concerns are the quality of work and the timely finish of the project. If you are able to accomplish both of these while saving him money, why wouldn't he love you.

Just look at all these software companies that tried saving money by outsourcing work to India. None of them have ever had any problems with quality. Better yet, look at all these companies that are started by the  US-returnees in Nepal every year. They are doing just fine for themselves.

@ pyaradeshbasiharu,

The acronym MIT could mean anything.

The one I am referring to is :
-- Massachusetts Institute of Technology

(Hope this is right).

U could email them and find out.

Most importantly: Do we have infrastructure in terms government and local party's attitude towards bringing new business.
Industries: All corrupt personnel and even the government put them down ( all corporations are sick made by management). We are just consuming anything that produced in Bihar, Khasa to all around the world.
We are independent in Beer and alcohol , noodles and can export but who will be the buying it? We have lack of entrepreneurship and that is the reason we copy exactly what other people doing, though it brings competition and price hike goes down gradually ( call to outside country is low as 1 rupee per minutes, we used to pay 15 or more and it is just an example only).

Once the country starts getting less donations and overseas employments goes down , then you will be seeing the real pictures of Nepal.

May point establishing industry should be home based material as cement but all cement industry are eaten by the management, now they do not run ( the management got karodau as ghus and make it sick).
If we do have this mentality we would not go anywhere but the bottom one poor country.
Tourism was major source of Income but due to the maoist it is gone down and Nepal is no more a different than Mexico gangster country.

But someone came to check if something can be done? Definitely something can be done but how ? Trying to see some positive responses and specially people in technology.

Bhojpure,

I like what  you are trying to do. You are assessing the ground realities of what you feel is going on in Nepal. I like the fact that you are courageous enough to do this. This is something very difficult to do. You are right. The point is not to be negative and give up hope. But the point is also not to put a positive spin on everything happening in Nepal and paint an over idealistic rozy picture.

I feel that we should do what you are doing. You are getting a basic assessment of the situation in Nepal--the good, the bad, and the ugly. It is only after we do this that we can even consider improving the situation. If all of us Nepalese can't even agree about the basic condition of Nepal in relation to the world, where is there even a question of us working togethor to improve it?

So Bhojpure, I really appreciate what you are trying to do with the above post of trying to summarize Nepal's position the best you can. Maybe we should do a SWOT analysis on Nepal? Let's see how much we can all agree on what are Nepal's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats?

Strength: Cheap and quality workers
Weakness: Infrastructure, basic needs as electricity
Opportunity: Flourishing market and more and more quality graduating soon
Threat: Political instability and the political parties supporters as YCL and other associations.

I think it is the political instability that is keeping investors or multi national companies away from Nepal.
if we have stable goverment, companies would do anythinng to save money which include creating of infrastructure and other basic needs.

look at india and how they started. they started by renting a small apartments and running generators to produce electricity when needed.
