Hello Guys,

Anybody here well known about SRS problem in car? In my car there is SRS sign on all the time. It is related to Airbag system. IWithout fixing this safety inspection will not pass. went to auto machanic and came to know that only dealer can fix this and it costs at least $ 500.  I googled about this and found solution but that is not so clear.

Is there any body who can help me to fix this in cheaper price?

SRS light does not effect in getting inspection sticker. Got mine

My car also have SRS light on, but the guy helped me to pass the inspection.

So request to some other places they may pass ur inspection.

Who does inspection? In my old car lot of lights were on/red and I never bothered about it as far as the car runs.

I live in Virgnia and here we need to pass safety inspection every year.

Which year is your car? If your car is later than 1997 or 98 you can bring it to AUTOZONE for free check for the lights on.  Get the facts rather than speculation. Getting advise from us  who is not smarter than you are, take you nowhere.

This might not be of much help but my car's SRS light comes on when I put something lighter than a person - such as a backpack or books - on the passenger front seat.  If I remove the item, the light goes off.

The sensor underneath the seat might be faulty.  You need to get that chacked.  But I suppose, as Nayasadak suggested, going first to Autozone for free diagnosis might be prudent.

दातलाई भन्दा हातालाई खस खस भनेको ए ही होला। कसैले AUTOZone को कुरा गरे , रिट्ठे जि ले OXygen sensor को कुरा गर्नु भये जस्तो लाग्यो। हो त्यो X-haust pipe बाट आएको हुन्छ र  next to passenger seat ,  पावर line  जोडेको हुन्छ , त्यो जोडाइमा तल माथि भए पनि light on देखाउछ।

मधौरिले माड खाएकी खाएनन मा कुरा अड्क्यो ? साथी लग्यौ त नारी छमाउन AUTOZONE ? त्यो पनि सित्तैमा .                                                            
नारी छमाइ पछी मात्रै कुरा गरौ होला .
     

I went to Autozone but they do free check for Check Engine only.  Anyway I found one auto service center in Shell gas station and my problem solved with $ 80.  And state Inspection also passed. I was happy with this as If I had gone to dealer it would cost min $ 500.
