Since two years, I am spending lots of time in research but till no concrete results is in hand becauselack of equipment  publish a paper. My research also does not seem compatible in context of Nepal.

Recently, there can be probability to join PhD with around 1700 U$$.It will be new field to me, I have to start from zero, if I joined this. Is it good idea to go for the new offer and suicide the career in which I am already? Or, stick in the same career where I am right now?

If you were one , what will have you done?

Interesting!  I thought people go into Phd. when they realize their real passion, have a desire to increase the existing knowledge base and value knowledge more than money.  Entry level jobs in industry pay far better than Phd. stipend.

Thought you seem frustrated, I found a lot of opportunity in your saying, well less people are competing in your field, so lies a greater opportunity. More than that, think once again about the new career you were thinking of, what if the same thing happen there? May be equipped with most of the things, what if you can't find any new idea.

Well No, not really. Once you get a  Ph.D. and go to market, you will get a job in more of a managerial category and slave away the entry level workers. Or if you go to academic area, all those national and international conferences, research grant and all. Folks there are a lot of perks in Ph.D. People just don't commit  3-5 yrs for nothing.

Sajhabahadur, i think it depends on you. If you think you can get around 2 to 3 papers more from your current research project; then i suggest you to stick to it (coz you don't wanna just let your 2 yrs of work go like that). You also have to compare these two projects as well, which one has a good potential for a job market - one of the major deciding factor. The most important  factor - Your Interest. If the new project is very interesting to you, then maybe it a good idea to jump into it as well. Either way you can't go wrong which one you decide for - that you have to understand and be confidient on it. Best of Luck.
