I don't think its good idea to everytime offend Prachanda or whoever we dislike even thogh they do some good. All we need is peace and prosperity in our country and I won't mind whoever rules the country as long as we have peace and some signs of development. Hamile jati chichaye pani jati karayera terrorist bhanye pani he has become peoples elected Prime Minister and he had forced us and whole world to accept that. So it doesn't worth crying everytime calling him terrorist. Though our heart can't accept we have to accept the fact that he is our Prime Minister and lets wish him for success as the nations success lies upon his success. At least lets watch and see how he drives the nation. Lets analyze at least a little and revolt against his wrongs and give hand on hand in his right deeds rather then shouting everytime "terrorist".

i agree with SOLITUDE jee. girija le k garyo ? singai mahakali bechyo. previous RNAC lai barbad garidiyo. Lauda kanda garyo, Dhamija kanda garyo. deshlai bikas garnu ko satta jhan jhan khadal tira dhakelyo. Neta ko bhesma atankakari ko girija and aru neta haru. why dont we give prachanda a chance to do something. it takes time to see the result. satta samhaleko ek mahina ma nai result khojera ta hudaina ni. At least we have to give them time. sadhai sadak tatayera ta kehi hune wala chaina ni. kehi garna khojyo ki sadak tatayo bas yeti ko nepali ko kaam ani back biting garnu.

newtech,
if you just want to follow political rhetoric, and buy the dreams that these people want to sell, I do not have anything to say.
these people talk big and vague- but do they have any tangible plan to materialize things that often speaks about.???? let me give you some example:
what they say- amul pariwartan?- what does this mean?
rajyako punarsamrachana?- what is this? how you are going to do that?
agragami -what is that?- fuel gar scarcity, price hike, crime, looting, curruption, YCL raj??
arthik kranti- how? buy discouraging investments, not creating suitable environment for domestic investors, and only inducing indians to suck our hydropower in the name of foreign investments?
rastriyata and sarvabhumsatta janata ma- what a bull? you are selling citizenship to your illicit uncles and cousins from bihar/UP and still talking about rastriyata???
did he raised any issues regarding boarder encroachment with india in his recent visits.
for me, Prachande is the most oppurtunist power munger politcal leader (worst than girija) I have ever seen..you watch it..he now even up for licking bush's dk??no?? " so stop fooling yourself and the others too!

It's truly unfortunate that Prachanda will always be associated with the violent insurgency in Nepal, and some will -- understandably so -- never forgive him for that. That said, if one were to judge a person's leadership on that way one articulates one's thoughts -- whether one agrees with him or not -- I have came across many who came out very impressed with his talk at the Asia Society, both Nepalis and non-Nepalis. Whether Prachanda follows up well on his words or not is and entirely different matter, and all we can do about that now is to wait and see. But I too was very impressed with his brief 3-minute address to the crowd at the dinner hosted by the Nepal Mission to the UN last night. Very short, but to-the-point, and matter-of-fact. Professionally articulated. I thought no longer would we have to be emabarrassed about Nepali leader's deliberations, like I always did with everyone else in the past. Good change here, but will that translate into a lasting positive change? Again, let's see.

A 3-minute speech? I would be careful about drawing any conclusions from a 3 minute speech. Was he open to any question answers? I would not make any judgement of him until he's answerable to the people he's supposed to lead. Barbeque season is not over yet. He needs to be grilled a little before he leave the US.

Time will come for that (grilling), ratobhaley -- there are two interaction programs scheduled in NY -- Friday 5:30 pm @ The New School and Saturday 2:00 pm at The Chian Federation in Astoria. Last night's address was not planned at all, and was just a brief statement as requested by the crowd on the spot. To have been able to articulate professionally all that he said in just 3 minutes was also remarkable. I believe he spoke for nearly 30 minutes at The Asia Society, from where most came out very impressed. I wasn't there, but heard that he answered questions in a to-the-point manner, without the usual latar-patar that can be expected from Nepali leaders. All I am saying is that to be able to articulate one's thoughts well and speak them proficiently is a good (beginning) change.

Two things communists (especially Maoists) specialize in:
1. Prppaganda/Speeches/Rhetoric
2. Killing/Murder/extermination of any opposition
No wonder you were impressed by his speech. If he was able to brainwash thousands of parents, children, families and neighbors to kill each other, what wonder is there in his impressing smug people in a safe room with talks of utopian dreams, to an audience that still believes in dreams and manifest destiny and the white man's burden etc. As for Nepalis being impressed (either willingly or under compulsion), when were they not?

I am not claiming I was necessarily impressed by WHAT he had to say -- I am capable enough (or so I hope!) to be a man of my own and be proff of any brainwashing(s) by anyone. I , of course, disagree with him on some key areas...that is there. What I am saying is that I was impressed with HOW he said it. We certainly lacked skilled communicators in Nepali leadership, i.e., hardly any other leadrs of the past had the ability to properly, professionally articulate their thoughts and express them with equal proficiency. At least that was not the case with Prachanda yesterday at the dinner and the day before at the Asia Society.

Simply because we have lacked skilled orators in Nepali leadership, we now crown the glory onto this man who is a killer of tens of thousands of innocent Nepalis?
I am sure we can find another orator better than him who hasn't bloodied his hands yet or would not bloody his hands ever. Poonte let's find another good orator and ask him to be our new leader. Shall we?

Just articulated, crafty and flowery words are not enough. If you want to view leaders based on such parameters, I would just pity on your analysis.
A person who is anti-democratic from core, utterly pretentious and believe in BARBARIC killing ( SARDAR OF KILLERS, ) would make a good leader.???.come on guys give me a break!!
I am sure; he would have got overwhelmed with NY...looking up to Empire State to Liberty Statue...good for him!
I do not know where SAMSARA is these days...SAM bro are you in NY these days? Please go and kick that killer's ass on be half of all of us...

No, I wasn't at The Asia Society, but heard good reviews form those who were there, both Nepali and non-Nepalis. But I wil be at The New School and The Chian Federation. Looking forward to the "grilling" by the public, and hoping he wont disappoint my initial impressions of him.
