Wow! wonderful.. Certainly, the Celts are the team to watch next season after having so many years of boring seasons. If the deal completes, KG, 2004 season MVP, finally has chance to appear in the NBA finals from the weak eastern conference. Let's see how Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, and KG co-ordinate with each other. Sometimes, too many stars don't fit well in a single team.

2003-04 LA Lakers were loaded with All Stars and Future HOF. That didn't jell that well..... If the story is true gotta give prop to most pathetic franchise for last 15 years

When Danny Ainge tried to change the then structure of Celtics, the reason/logic given was to develop a team - a long shot one. He was talking about the farm system. He wanted to raise a young team.

Now- he is turning back to Allen, Garnet and Pierce. How many years of BB left with them ? Celtics has a big guy - a draft pick and how he will perform is yet to be seen.

Now it does appear to me by his pick, he had his mind set to trade Al Jefferson.

It might be a desperate attempt of Ainge to extend his term by achieving relatively successful year. Raise ?? Not yet. Recoup the losses first.

So depending on "Seeing is believing" kind of formula then?

Up to now Ainge's strategy have failed miserably.

Well, Doc really have to improve on defensive mentality. Danny Ainge, whom I hated after he made that stupid trade with Walker, now has the best starting lineup on the floor, assuming that trade is completed. At the same time we should be concerned about diminishing age factor of Pierce and Allen. KG & Allen should be more concered about lifting the team to next level (possiblly taking to the finals), rather than competing on who is team's captain. The heats still going to be big challenge in weak east if Wade comes back healthy. Well, KG always had crappy players around him, except for a couple of seasons. Now, he's got Pierce & Allen. I hope these 3 stars will make it happen coming season. I still want KG not to be diminished on his Rebounds, at least 12+ on avg. Certainly his points will go down this season.

never liked Pierce, Allen and KG and the trio in one team still doesn't interest me... Celts sounds like another high power Eastern Suns team to me :p

I still remember a couple of seasons in MN when KG, S. Marbury, and Tom Gugliotta( I hope you remember him) were timberwolves. What an amazing young team it was back then, even though they never made it to second round of the playoffs. KG has next best trio again. BUt i agree with you the Celts could be a next Suns. It will depend on how well Doc can manage these players.

I'm glad to know that KG is the newest Celt. He deserves a ring and he could've never gotten one in MN.

All the Boston papers are now calling C's as contenders of the East.

It will be busy days: Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots. Even Revs are doing pretty well.
